Candy waited for Mia after Mia's last class. She'd seen her on the forums and figured she should hang out with the new kid. Even though it was Candy's last semester, and she knew she was soon bound to live in the Dreaming, she still liked friends.

	"That would be a little comforting, I think." She reached back, pulling her hair back into a ponytail to make it a little more manageable. She shrugged. "It's school. 	"That sucks," Mia said. "I was.. pretty lucky, I guess. I could've had it a lot worse. I actually told the whole school about being HIV positive, and still managed to be halfway popular. "There's no reason why you shouldn't have been upfront. To hell with anyone who thought anything different of you because of something like that." She rolled her eyes. "I have allergies, ooooo." she waggled her fingers and grinned. "Then again, one of my best friends is a man with antlers whose brothers live in them. And I'm dating the incarnation of dreaming. ... sort of." She looked sheepish.

"Well, yeah, that's kind of what I was thinking at the time. Ollie was all impressed at how brave I was being, but really it was a 'Eff you!' to anyone that didn't like it." She shrugged. Her confidence probably had a lot more to do with her popularity than anything she said at the time.

She raised an eyebrow at the antlers comment, having a hard time picturing that. "Incarnation of dreaming?" she asked. She smirked. "Guess your Mystery Date wasn't a dud, huh?"

Callie shrugged. "Maybe." She didn't really think she was all that brave or whatever. Even after telling the whole damn school, she'd been afraid to tell the Teen Titans. "Seriously stupid. I swear, they make us dumber there instead of making us smarter."

Callie got a little single-minded once they walked into the restaurant. Must. Get. Food. She took Candy's arm in a 'food-now,-talk-later' sort of way and pulled her straight for the counter, ordering a turkey sub.

Candy sighed, and leaned forward, about to tell the girl something she'd never told anyone. "He reminds me of someone from home. Someone I sort of feel I ... screwed over." She put her heads in her hands. "I like him, but that's the worst reason to date someone ever, isn't it. ... I don't think I can go through with it, anyway. I love the Dreaming, but I wouldn't be able to do this - just come here with you and be normal and hang out with my friends. I'm not ready to give that up. I don't want to stop learning and fighting."

Mia frowned. She could kind of understand that, maybe. If she met someone that reminded her of Connor.. Well, it didn't really matter. "Yeah, it's a pretty shitty reason. Maybe school really did make you crazy."

When their food came out, Mia grabbed a pill bottle out of her purse and popped a few. "Really, though, you should break it off. Guys are assholes. Especially ones like that. Sure, he'll treat you like a princess now, but then he'll get tired of you and you'll still be stuck, just with no friends." She shook her head. "As romantic as the whole 'princess in a tower' thing is, Rapunzel didn't have it easy. Can you imagine how much it would hurt to have guys in armor climb up your hair?" She dug into her sandwich, taking a few bites.

"Oh, I know." She sighed. "You're just saying things I've already thought. Boa's been reprimanding me for a while now." She chuckled. "Just because Carrion got rejected by her doesn't mean I owe him anything. That's what she says."

Munching on her pizza, she shrugged. "And guys aren't bad. I had an amazing boyfriend here once. Just shit luck with them ever since."
