Who: Sam, Anne and Alexandra Winchester
When: Backdated to the day she first appeared
What: Meeting for the very first time
Warnings: Utter familytime schmoop

Sam paced like a caged cat. He was pretty sure he'd worn a hole in the rug already, but he didn't care really.

He was going to meet his daughter for the first time. A daughter he didn't have yet, a daughter he hadn't even planned on yet, but a daughter he loved with such a fierceness already it scared him. Roxy was dutifully following him back and forth, ears up and at the ready. Anne was feeding Aidan, Sam didn't know how she could be so calm right now, but he supposed *one* of them had to be. He was glad it was her.

Anne was actually kind of amused at Sam's... antics. She could feel the anxiety that he had going through him and once Aidan was finished she lifted him and carried him back and forth across the foyer as well. Watching Sam had quite a few benefits.

Just as she was about to open her mouth, said daughter appeared in the middle of the room. Anne was delighted at the appearance and not for the same reasons that Sam was. After all, Anne herself was a display of pale blue lights that dissipated when she appeared and Alexandra's were a very light yellow. Almost like her grandfather's.

"Sweetheart," Anne said.

"Mom!" And then Alex turned on her father and leapt at him, throwing her arms around his neck. "Daddy!"

Sam had to squint a little bit; the lights were confusing for a moment and Alex looked *so* very much like Anne it was like seeing double. His daughter was more like her mother than him, in many ways it seemed. Then she was jumping up and hugging him and Sam felt pure love just wash over him as he caught her and wrapped his arms around his daughter for the first time.

"Hi sweetheart." He said into her dark hair with a little smile. He looked up for a moment at Anne and gave her that same smile too.

"Sorry I didn't come right away." Practically bouncing in place, she reached out and straightened Sam's shirt from where it had gotten a bit out of place. "I DID just see you, though, the other day. I barely had a chance to miss you."

"Well at least you never had to miss me then." He smiled kissed the top of her head. "How are you, are you alright?" he gave her a fast once over, incase the vortex had somehow bruised her on her trip in. And if that was the case, Sam would have to figure out how to make a vortex sorry it ever hurt his baby girl.

"Daddy." Always the worrier, her father. "I'm FINE."

Alex gave a tiny eyeroll and shared a look with her mother, who pursed her lips to hide a smile and when that didn't work, she buried her head in the baby's neck. It only caused Alexandra to laugh and smile at her father some more. "Are you all right?"

Daddy.

That would take some getting used to.

"Yeah, I'm good." Sam grinned. Roxy trotted over and parked herself by Anne, obviously thinking her guard dog duties were necessary at the moment. "Your brother probably looks different, huh?" It wasn't that he didn't know what to say, it was just that he didn't know what he could say. The future was supposed to be a mystery and he was okay with that.

"Different? He can't even go to the bathroom by himself yet." She tilted her head to look at the baby. "Can he?"

She, of course, had been going to the bathroom by herself when she was just a few weeks old. The differences between her and her brother were never ending. There were things she probably shouldn't say. Seeing her parents in the same room and happy was something she was glad to see.

"No, he's still in diapers. Just started walking, really." Sam got that hint of pride in his voice, always, when he talked about his son. Now he adressed his daughter. "But he smiles alot. He can do that by himself. I think he even tried to call me 'dude', but I can't be sure."

Sam hesitated for a second before reaching an arm around Alex's shoulders and hugging her again. Truth be told, he could never get enough hugging from his kids.
