Anne was actually kind of amused at Sam's... antics. She could feel the anxiety that he had going through him and once Aidan was finished she lifted him and carried him back and forth across the foyer as well. Watching Sam had quite a few benefits.
Just as she was about to open her mouth, said daughter appeared in the middle of the room. Anne was delighted at the appearance and not for the same reasons that Sam was. After all, Anne herself was a display of pale blue lights that dissipated when she appeared and Alexandra's were a very light yellow. Almost like her grandfather's.
"Sweetheart," Anne said.
"Mom!" And then Alex turned on her father and leapt at him, throwing her arms around his neck. "Daddy!"
