Who: Open to anyone attending Homecoming.
What: Taunton Homecoming Dance
Warning: Explosions!

The gym had been decorated with streamers and banners. There was punch in the corner, and kids were dancing to songs that grownups had decided were popular. It looked just like a typical dance from any high school movie. The faculty must have done their research via Netflix.

It was Taunton's first Homecoming Dance. One of the women on the party planning committee was from America, and since Taunton had quite a few American students, they'd decided it would be a fun event. With the recent loss of the headmistress, they thought everyone could use something to cheer them up. They'd gone all-out, even holding elections for Homecoming King and Queen.

Sam had just "broken up" with Candy yesterday, but he'd told her he still wanted to take her to the dance, if she wanted to go. She was his best friend, and that wasn't going to change. Neither of them had another date, and he'd already bought the tickets, so they might as well go together.

	Hope smiled as Iggy settled next to her. "Yeah. I think I sprained my ankle.." She leaned against his side. "Everything else is fine, though. Don't really want to go to the hospital," she said, looking warily at the approaching ambulance. Iggy probably felt the same way about hospitals that she did.
