Who: Crowley, Aziraphale
What: Reciting the Rosary. (You have to ask, at this point?)
When/Where: Backdated to soon after this log/Aziraphale's new bookshop in London, specifically the greenhouse on the roof
Warnings: Likely.

It was a sunny afternoon in London, by the time Crowley had finished what he'd had to do in Eden. That was how he was referring to it, in his head; 'what he'd had to do'. Considering the details- or much of anything about the situation- just served to raise his temper, and that was dangerous, for both himself and his surroundings. In an effort to relax, he'd willed himself up to his greenhouse, originally with the intent to soothe himself by scaring some life into his plants. However, the scene was as lush and exotic as he demanded of his gardens, and even he didn't have the heart to ask for more from them. It was steamy, hot, and all too inviting to leave to brave the throng of confused mortals who'd erroneously assumed the shope was still in business. With a bit of thought, Crowley was back to his 'original' (demon) form, a larger-than-life green boa, curled around the base of a small tree in the room.

Some might define it as sulking. But they'd better not do it where Crowley could hear.

"I never meant to cause you such grief, dearest." Zira looked to his lover's face. "Though I am not sorry to see your relationship with her terminated, I do hate to see you so melancholy." He didn't feel the need to point out his personal feelings toward Kia. Crowley knew well that there was no love lost between the two of them.

"I shouldn't give a damn," He willed up a cigarette, taking a drag to try and calm his still-agitated nerves, at the mention of what had happened. "I didn't care about this shit, until you," He blew a smoke ring, turning away from Zira as he did so, out of respect. "Shouldn't have been anything to care about- that was the rule. Her rule," Which had been just fine by him- he wasn't really sure he could care about anyone, as much as Zira. It really had just been a fuck, to him. For the most part.

"And yet, she has hurt you deeply," Zira noted. He did feel regret, about that. He was an angel, regret was something he knew all too well. So was penance, but he'd get to that later.

Crowley snorted derisively. "I'm not hurt. Feeling guilty, perhaps. But..." He shook his head lightly, moving his hand off the end of the bed to flick the ashes to the floor.

"Either way, it's done. I don't want to talk about it any longer."

"What have you to feel guilty about, dearest?" Zira asked gently. "You've no reason to feel guilty. If anyone is to blame, it is me, and I've no guilt where she is concerned." Where Crowley was concerned, certainly. But he wouldn't waste his energy on anyone else.

"It's not your fault she went and had a rather emotional revelation in my office. You know I'm rather shite with all that... emotion." He shook his head after the explanation, not really wanting to contine. He'd meant it. He just wanted to forget it, now.

"You are, indeed," Zira agreed. If Crowley wished it, the conversation was over. Zira wouldn't press for him to talk, it simply wasn't their way. Instead he leaned in, dropped a tender kiss to his lover's temple. All in all, he felt things were as they should be now.

Crowley was content to leave it at that, rolling his shoulders to settle in next to his lover. If Zira cared to look, he'd notice the Gates were no longer in the room. Crowley wanted to keep it that way. As far as he was concerned, they'd served their purpose.

Zira hadn't forgotten about the Gates, though he had pushed the idea off the table, so to speak. Unless Crowley asked for the restraint, Zira was content to let it go. He'd caused his love undue stress, and he needn't peek in to the demon's mind to see that the Gates were largely to blame.

"Your love is not misplaced, dearest," he murmured, settling to simply hold Crowley close. His wings fluttered, shifted, and held themselves around the two of them.

He couldn't stop the soft hiss at the words, head butting against the Angel's chin. "I know that, dearest. Don't even say such a thing," Crowley was still feeling a bit out of sorts, off balance. But he didn't regret it, in any way- it was what he had to do, to prove his love for his Angel. Anything was worth that, especially just a little discomfort.

Zira's response was to press his lips to Crowley's lips, stealing a kiss.
