After she'd gotten the message from Ellery that Cian had fallen yet again, though this time it was off a plow. This time she brought a wheelchair with her, and everything else she'd need as she rushed over. Inside she was panicking a bit and telling herself that she should have done something to make sure that this wouldn't happen again. But she didn't know what she had missed the last time. This time she wouldn't miss a thing.

Taking the port key to their house, she headed out to the field where she spotted the plow sitting and rushed over with the chair. Once she actually saw Ellery, she slowed down a bit until she got there. "Hey.. is he still breathing?"

Remy nodded her head a bit. "Thank you for actually telling me the truth, Ellery. Perhaps I should just ask you about all of your father's health problems instead of him." She was only being half serious though.

"Do you think you can swallow a pill? Or I can give you a shot of something." She only stepped out for a moment to get the machine that would be used to put up inside his ear and some medicine for him. When she came back, she went over to one side and sat down on a stool next to him. She looked over at Ellery. "Want to help me out kiddo?"

	"What can I do?" Ellery asked. He beamed a little, excited and proud that she asked him to help her. Cian opted for the shot over the pill, just because it was probably easier. (Reply to this) (Parent) (Thread)

After giving Cian the shot of morphine (because he was totally going to need it) she turned on the little machine. "I need you to go and stand on the other side of the bed. And I need you Cian to turn your head very slowly and look over towards Ellery. Now .. I'm going put this camera in his ear all right? And I need you to tell me when your dad's eyes close okay?"

She began the process of moving the very slender wire up towards his ear. "When I get up near the inner ear, this is going to make your balance all out of whack and it's going to feel like the room's spinning then your eyes are going to close. It's not the best thing in the world, but don't try and keep your eyes open if it happens okay? It might be this ear, it might be the other. I'm going to have to check both."

	Ellery held his dad's hands, and studied Cian's face. Cian said nothing, but tried not to look at his son. He shifted his gaze, and tried to think of something else. He focused on Ellery's mother, thinking of her, trying to visualise her after so many years. After a moment, his eyes closed, and Ellery announced it to Dr Hadley. (Reply to this) (Parent) (Thread)

Remy hated that this thing was such a pain in the ass, but thankfully it didn't look like she'd have to do the other ear because she found what she was looking for. It wasn't too bad, the tear there, but there was an infection too just like she thought. "Okay, good.. right. I see the problem.." slowly she started pulling out the camera before she told him he could turn back over, very slowly.

"You have something called a Perilymph Fistula, which sounds all complicated but it's not. Your inner ear is all filled up with fluid, probably left over from a cold or infection or something. But then your middle ear got a small tear in it, which is causing pressure to build up near the sinus cavity back there. All that pressure causes you to get vertigo, and the headaches and everything else. I can go into lots more detail if you want but, the thing is.. is that it requires surgery. Minor surgery, really to repair the hole. You can be in and out in a day or two. It's possible that this thing can heal on it's own? But it means staying in bed for a good couple of weeks with like.. no movement. Not just to let it heal but you can't keep passing out and hitting your head."

	She couldn't help but grin slightly. "I could.. look after him um.. maybe I mean. Either way you can't be up and running around for a while." She glanced over at Ellery and nodded her head. 	"Oh honest, it's not a big deal at all. I'd be happy to do it. And you need to get some rest. He'll be fine. Dr. Cuddy's really good with working around people's schedules and all." She gave a small smile and looked over at Ellery before looking back. "I might be wrong but it looks like he wants to. But it's up to you, Dad." (Reply to this) (Parent) (Thread)

	"Quite sure, it would be no problem at all. Though first we have to get you ready for surgery so I'm going to grab some stuff and I'll be right back." And of course she had to go talk to Cuddy about the whole work thing since she was going to be spending most of her time with Ellery it seemed. But she was kind of excited for it, for some reason. 	"The sooner the better. I mean it's up to you of course. You're the patient. But I can be right there, watching. Making sure that everything goes okay if you want. "I'll um.. give you two a moment? And I'll go make sure everything's prepped and ready to go.." she smiled at both of them and left for a bit. She made sure everything was ready and then came back after a little while. "All right, let's wheel you down there. The procedure only takes about 40 minutes to an hour so you're going to be in and out in no time at all." Pushing down the break, she started to wheel the bed down the hall, motioning for Ellery to join her.
