Remus Lupin ([info]believeincommas) wrote in [info]utr_logs,

Previous Entry  Add to memories!  Tell a Friend!  Next Entry
Entry tags:remus lupin (younger), sirius black (younger)

Who: Remus and Sirius the youngers
What: Talking?
When: Saturday afternoon
warnings: TBA, probably nothing too bad...though it is Sirius.

Remus had packed up his books from the library. He was trying to get use to not reading into everything Sirius said the way he use to. Before "M'bored," meant come home and have sex, which probably wasn't what he meant this time. Probably.

Moony walked home, since it wasn't more than a few blocks, and walked into his apartment, putting his books down and calling that he was home.

He was greeted by being side tackled, a little 'ouf' coming out as he fell to the ground. He really should be use to Padfoot's behaviour by now.

Padfoot knew if he stayed standing he would start pacing, and that would only make Moony panic. This in mind, he sat back on the couch, and reached a foot out to nudge at Moony's ankle, hoping to annoy him into sitting as well.

"So I keep forgetting that you don't remember everything I remember. You'd think it'd be obvious, what with you lot being infants." They didn't actually look that much younger to him, but if Prongs was going to tease Padfoot for being an old man, hed return it to all of them

"Well, I can't blame you for your faulty memory, old man." Moony was smiling as he sat.

Padfoot grinned widely. Good. That was good. "Yeah, yeah. I'm bloody ancient."

"Right. So you don't remember things you weren't there for--you should work on that, by the way--so I guess I have to tell you." He wasn't rambling, really he wasn't. "Look. We haven't never had sex."

He was about to reply to the idea of rememebering things that he'd never experience and then stopped. Moony took a couple moments, trying to work out the double negative. "Haven't never, as in have?" he was sure he sounded like an idiot, but couldn't really care.

He should've known better than to use a double negative in the presence of Moony, but he'd done it anyway. He shrugged in agreement as Moony reinterpreted the phrase. "It was... Well, I thought it was a crazy one-time thing. We never really talked about it." They'd seen a lot, working together during the war. There had been some very near-death experiences, and maybe some alcohol involved. Padfoot didn't think his Moony had attributed any significance to the whole thing, but now he was second guessing that.

Moony blinked at him, trying to fully understand. "Ah, just a thing..." it sounded so strange coming from him, and he knew he sounded...just off. He wondered how the other Moony had felt. Had he just thrown it off as a one time thing? Had he forced himself to not say he wanted it to be more?

"Did you want it to be more?" he had to know, even if it wasn't really a fair question.

"I don't know," Padfoot confessed. "I hadn't thought about it. I didn't think you'd thought about it. We were on the road a lot, and busy." They hadn't been good times. Padfoot had tried to avoid thinking about anything, when possible. Planning for the future just wasn't on his mind.

It was hard to believe a Moony who wasn't over thinking everything, but it had been a different world. Moony shrugged. "Maybe he hadn't."

"Oh. He probably had." Yeah, it was dumb to think Moony hadn't been thinking. But he hadn't said anything, and Padfoot hadn't really known where to go with it. He'd been confused, and hadn't had time to un-confuse himself. Here, though, he'd been sitting on his ass for a few weeks. He had time, and it hadn't really helped. "He just didn't talk about it, probably. But. Um. Talking now."

Moony laughed just a little. "Yes, talking. With the words." He didn't really know what he was suppose to say. Padfoot knew how he'd been before with the other Padfoot. He didn't know what he wanted to hear. He wouldn't want to hear how hard it was to be so close and not touch. Or when Padfoot touched him how hard it was for him not to push it further.

Padfoot ran a hand through his hair, a little frustrated with himself. "See.. You're not like a girl. You're my best mate and I've known you forever and I can't do the whatsit..objectify you." Padfoot had had many girlfriends, but he hadn't really cared that much about their brains. He'd gotten to know them, to be polite, but the emotion connection was never close to as strong as the physical one. "What if I fuck it up?" There was a vulnerability there that was very rare to see in Padfoot. Moony--the Moony from both worlds--had seen it more than anyone else.

Moony smiled at him. He wanted to hold him, just touch him somehow, and before he could stop himself he'd nuzzled Padfoot's shoulder. "Neither of us are perfect. We both mess up from time to time. We just fix it. Talk about it. There's no fuck up big enough that I wouldn't still be your best mate."

"Yeah? Yeah. I guess that's true." After all, the current situation was pretty crazy. Most blokes probably couldn't deal with having his best mate tell him that he's in love with him. It hadn't hurt Padfoot's confidence in his friendship with Moony at all.

"Huh," he remarked, thinking. He idly scritched at Moony's nuzzling head, pondering a bit.

Moony closed his eyes as Padfoot scratched his head. He missed just being close to Padfoot.

"Don't fall asleep on me," Padfoot joked, nudging Moony. It was weird. He didn't really know how to go about any of this. One (slightly) drunken night didn't really prepare him for anything. He was used to breasts. What were you supposed to grab? Why couldn't Moony have breasts? And then he was picturing Moony with breasts. Very odd, he decided.

He hoped Moony would be alright with slow. Padfoot was still very confused.

Moony opened his eyes, sitting up and pulling away, smiling up at him, "I wasn't falling asleep." He wasn't going to push anything. He didn't want to scare Padfoot off.

Moony couldn't scare Padfoot off, at this point. Make his brain explode, maybe, but not scare him off.

"No? Don't tell me you spelled a book to the inside of your eyelids and you were reading it."

"Now that is an idea. I really should try and find a way to do that." He got up as if to actually start research that moment. It was mostly in jest... mostly.

Padfoot swatted at Moony's ass, pushing at him to sit back down. "I'd never see you again. Worse: you'd never see me. And you'd run into things all the time."

Moony laughed, letting himself be pushed back into the seat. "Oh, that would be horrible, always running into things."
