After making sure Jack and Ennis knew she was heading out for a while and that she'd let herself in when she got back, Alma showered, changed and put on a little makeup (very rare for her) so as not to be as obviously withdrawn from society as she really was. Pinning the sides of her hair back with a pretty clip she slipped out of the house (especially avoiding Bobby) and made her way to the Portkey.

She didn't use them often, hadn't yet in fact, but she arrived in New York just fine, glancing around to get a hold on her bearings and hopefully spot Mark.

She shrugged, deciding the Reader's Digest version would be best in order to not kill the atmosphere. "Got married at 19, guy was. .a dick, found someone else, caught him with 'nother man, he became a sort of a dick, but I been puttin' him in his place since th'start of it. Ended up pregnant, got divorced, stood by Bobby's side e'er since, man after man, rain or shine. Same rough guy, same damn promises. 'One day Alma, I'm too young to commit'." She sighed, taking a drink from her coffee. "So I got fed up and told 'im to do what he wants from now on, I aint gonna be aroung to be second best th'res tof my life."

She certainly wasn't going to throw herself at him, she had a little more class than that. (Tho being halfway bent over a table being so suggestive to someone his age, wasn't exactly modest). She shrugged. "Well, reckon this is your town, I wouldn't know what t'do here, where t'go." An idea sparked, and she set her cup aside. "S'pose I do got a bit of an idea, y'into video games?"

She wet her lips and allowed him to lead her out, the cold forgotten in her already flushed state. It felt like they'd stepped outside and right up to his door, even tho she knew more time had lapsed since they'd left the coffee place.

Holding her wrist, he could probably feel her pulse double suddenly, she wet her lips, playing cool. "Got any good games in mind?"
