Rurik nodded, out of respect for Kai. he felt better, though still unsettled. They would have to work out the kinks, of the three of them being together and what not. But Kai was right, the emotions and the need were too high, the two of them would tear Kezia apart, if they didn't step back.

He knew, at least assumed, Kai would go to Gatlin for his fix. The boy was mortal, but his blood was addictive, with the drugs he pumped into himself daily. Rurik hoped he didn't truly hurt the boy, willing bleeders were so hard to find, anymore.

Although not overly strong, or even large, Kezia didn't fear either of the vampires; as tough as they tried to look, she knew they were both far more caring than they let on. And, if worse came to worse, she would be able to use her magic, at least enough to give her time to get away. Still, it was some relief, to see that Kai would walk away without insisting on 'his turn'; not only for the night, but for what it meant, of what he thought of her.

The vampire simply nodded, turning on his heel and leaving the room. If Rurik was agreeing to come home to his- their- bed, he wouldn't quibble. He was far too grateful.

One the door was closed behind the vampire, Kezia shifted on the bed, reaching once again for the glass of vodka Rurik had helped himself to. "Well, pleasant as always, I see."
