Darius was standing on Ophelia's porch again. He found himself there quite a bit. But this time he wasn't nervous. He was actually quite bouncy. Not in the literal sense, though he did have to be careful to avoid that. It was really neat to be rubbery. He was beginning to understand Reed RIchards a lot better, though he lacked that range of agility.

Which was okay with him. The stuff he could do outweighed what he couldn't by a long shot. He peered in the window, to see if Ophelia was on the way, eager to see his niece and nephew, and to spend the day with his kind of sort of maybe girlfriend.

	Darius unfolded from around her, keeping one arm wrapped around her waist. The kitchen was a few corridors down, and currently populated by one laughing woman and the bottom half of something that could well be a dragon. Darius laughed and shook his head. "Dork." (Reply to this) (Parent) (Thread)

	Lorna waved cheerfully. "Hi! I'm Lorna. Did Nathan catch you?" She didn't stop working though, and cans were flying through the air, carefully stacking on top of each other. Darius dodged a few as he went to see how much time was left on the pizza. "About three more minutes. Would you like a drink? Maybe something not in a can?" (Reply to this) (Parent) (Thread)

	Lorna smiled brightly. "Good. Elevator's coming down. Should be here soon." Darius laughed and pour Ophelia some water from the jug in the fridge. "Good idea." He poured himself a glass as well, and pulled out two chairs. "Have a seat." (Reply to this) (Parent) (Thread)

"Not really. It's harder with stuff that weighs more, or isn't as close. The stacking is just a thing." It was beginning to take the shape of a medieval dragon. She would meld them all together later. "I did this without my powers, though. It's a lot easier now that I don't have to move."

Darius sipped his water, settling into quietness. He was getting tired, and hoped that food would revive him.

	Nate came in, and grinned. "Looks like you're having fun, Lorna." He glanced around. "How's the pizzas going? Anyone want something to drink?" He glanced at Ophelia, Darius, and Lorna in turn. Darius straightened up a bit, "Couches are good."

Lorna tutted a little, but didn't say anything. Good Lord. The stick must be preprogrammed. Maybe it was a good thing they were adopting.

"I'll bring 'em in, Nathan. Don't sweat it. You might have to help Ophelia hold Short Round up."

Darius made a face at Lorna. She made a face back. Much childishness ensued, until Darius shook his head, laughing. "Which one of us is an adult again?"

	Ophelia watches. It is good to hear him laughing. And when Darius and Lorna began to play together it made her laugh. "Come, then...we should get you to a comfortable place then." She stood up. (Reply to this) (Parent) (Thread)

"Nathan." Lorna replied, eagerly.

Darius rolled his eyes and stood, poking Nathan back. "Hey, I want to see the babies when they're awake." He didn't have any problems standing yet, which was a good thing. Sitting had been a mistake, though.

He took Ophelia's hand and led her back into the den, which had once been the formal dining room. The liberal addition of bean bag chairs and couches had fixed that, though. Darius sat down on a loveseat, and pulled Ophelia into his lap, knowing that Domino and Nathan would probably be sickening with their own displays of affection.

"Welcome to the lair." Domino had been in the den for a while. Her body was still really recuperating from the twins' birth, and she had no shame about putting her feet up.

	Darius snuggled into Ophelia. "Mmmm, nice and soft." Definitely talking about the couch, yep! Lorna came in with the pizza on plates, handing them out eagerly. She turned the heat up a bit, so it was nice and cozy. "Would you like a blanket for your lap, Ophelia? To keep the crumbs off?" Domino snickered. "You guys are a trip. Take a fucking nap, Darius." Darius nipped lightly at Ophelia's neck, then started on his pizza. he got most of the way through a piece before he started to get sleepy. He had a nice warm girl on his lap, which would normally be really entertaining, but at the moment his body was more focused on the less exciting half of sleeping with her.

His plate was set next to him, and he pulled a blanket under his head. "Fine, you win."

Lorna giggled and ate, perching on a recliner's arm. "Yeah, what's it like at your place, sweetie?"

	"It is quiet for now, though things were strange for a time. I can walk to work again, though." Things had gotten busy there for a while. She had been hungrier than she thought, and had eaten quite a bit of her pizza rather quickly. "Do you need me to get off of your lap, Darius?" She wanted him to be comfortable, after all. Darius knew he was welcome there. It was one of the things he had come to count on.

He was soon lightly snoring. Lorna giggled at him. "Definitely. You wouldn't be the only one we've taken in in rough times. And you definitely seem more level-headed than the rest of us."

Domino snuggled into Nate, planting a kiss on his shoulder. Nope, not even close. You'd still be chasing Purifiers around with a blowtorch. Mind you, I'd be out following you with extra gas cans, but I'd be complaining the whole time.
