Darius wondered how many times he was going to be nervously waiting on Ophelia's door step, hoping that things would go well. He trusted her to accept him and his world, but he couldn't let the fear of rejection go entirely. It probably had a lot to do with the fact that he was still furious with Sophie, though he figured that would fade with time. She hadn't harmed him, but he was so exhausted that it was difficult not to fly off the handle.

The coffee in his hands was warm, and Darius felt as though that was the only thing keeping him awake at the moment. Well, beside the nervousness, of course. He knocked loudly, hoping he wasn't too early.

	Ophelia bounced over to the door. Her hair was piled on her head in a pair of hairsticks and she was still in pajama bottoms and a tank top. 	Her kiss revived him, and he returned it eagerly, the scratch of old stubble reminding him that he was a mess still. He whistled at her, and stepped in. "I'm happy to see you too, Ophelia. 	"Oh, I've been doing well. The flower shop is a good place to work, though it's been slow-ish lately." She grins at him and closes the door behind him. His grin turned wry and he laughed, kissing her again. "You're incredible, beautiful, and thoughtful. I swear I don't know what I'd do without you."

His stomach was empty, and the coffee wasn't going to tide him over for long. "Sorry for taking over one of your empty rooms. I just need some time away to get some perspective. Want some help with the cooking? Once we've got breakfast I'll explain what's going on."
