Warnings: deathly levels of cute. Sweetness at a level only insulin will cure.

Ophelia just barely managed her way down the stairs in the heels, clinging onto the railing the entire way. She catches sight of herself in the long mirror and has to laugh.

"I used to have such grace once upon a time..."

The heels are about three inches high...which might not be much, but it was very high for Ophelia. Once she was on level, uncarpeted ground, she was more unsteady, but at the same time, more firm on her feet.

She turned sideways and looked at herself in the mirror again while she stood still. She really did like the way her legs looked in them. And if she was going to wear skirts that hit ever-so-slightly above the knee as she was now, she wanted to look good.

"I didn't think we were going tonight." There was a laugh i his voice as he said it.

"I had dinner with my family. Or, the portion of my family that is Emma and her kids, plus Logan. And I talked on the phone with Scott before I left. Not much. Have you been practicing all day?"

As he spoke, his free hand stroked her arm, fingers caressing the skin softly. She was very nice to touch.

	She laughed too, though that made her wobble more than she should, and she held to him briefly. "That sounds like a pleasant day," she said as she righted herself. Darius, being a man of composure, gently unentwined himself from Ophelia and helped her to a wall before he started to laugh. Her tone, the posture. . . everything was hilarious to him.

It was possibly the day, as well. He'd been rather bouncy for the majority of it. He regained his composure quickly, though his grin remained. "I'm sure you are still a creature of grace."

	She blushed. "Well, so do you." And it was interesting to be eye to eye with a man. In a way that...made her shift a bit and blush even more. 	Her blushing was very attractive. And her second statement made him laugh. "It would be easier to clean." Sweeping is much simpler than vacuuming. And much less noisy. The X-mansion had been mostly tiled, or covered in hardwood. (Reply to this) (Parent) (Thread)

	"Probably so, yes." Carpets are good for that. And they dampen sound, too. "Yeah, but most businesses that are carpeted are a lot less shaggy for that reason." He was used to women being able to do advanced martial arts in high heels. It had never occurred to him that they were difficult. (Reply to this) (Parent) (Thread)

	"No corsets. Though they are quite attractive. Usually a woman will wear just the corset, nowadays. Which leads to some interesting effects." 	Darius chuckled a little. "I'm kind of immune to the effect. My Mom did that a lot. She always had a very risque fashion sense." He still appreciated the female figure, but women wearing lots of clothing were just as attractive to him than scantily clad ones. Just in different ways. (Reply to this) (Parent) (Thread)
