It was nice, Belle concluded as she sipped her beer, to spend time with people who weren't involved in the running of Genosha, or the hotel, or her family.

She loved having her father back. And her mother-in-law was a nice lady. But between the boys showing off for their mother, and Julien and Marius being manly together, she'd felt the need to get out for a bit. The kids were safe with their grandparents, and she was glad to spend time with the Summerses.

	I know that my two candidates at the moment don't seem that interested in settling down, and I'm not sure that I'm ready for it either. "Psh. No shit. I hope I'm decomposed and my great great grandchildrens' children are getting old by the time I'm your age."

She chuckled a little. "I'm 25, but I had a huge headstart on the settling down and raising kids front. I was engaged when I was ten. Even if it didn't work out, that kind of mindset stays with a person. And I never had things like fighting for a cause to distract me."

Belle had fully intended to stay, because she enjoyed talking to the two of them. But before she could say anything else, her cell phone vibrated against her hip. With a sigh she slid it out and facepalmed.

"I gotta go, our minister of security just got shot." She stood and gathered her umbrella, shaking her head. "Idiot. It was nice to meet you, Ms. Grey. Take care you two."

And then seh was off, a steream of curses in a variety of languages in her mind.

Jean was about to say something, but her phone rang as well, which made her frown. It was Bruce. She'd asked him to cal and keep her company while she sewed.

Which meant she was late for work. Oops.

"Hey, Bruce! Thank you for calling. I'm still at Nathan's place, but I'm headed out now. I'll call you when I get there."

A pause while he responded. "Thank you again. Talk to you soon."

She hung her phone up and slid it into her pocket. "I forgot all about my sewing. Sorry to cut the visit short."

She gave both Nathan and Domino a hug. "I'll see you both soon. Take care of yourselves."

And then she left as well.
