Ganieda had dressed warmly, with tights underneath her skirts, and socks, and good strong shoes, as Sam had suggested. Her jacket was on the sofa next to where she was sitting. Ganieda did like surprises, and she was adventurous. She had not been so of late, but now she was free, and felt free for the first time in her life.

So now she was just waiting for him to pick her up, wondering what he had planned for them today.

He stepped out and helped her out as well, and smiled as the chill wind swirled around them.

"Come on. It's only a little ways."

And he led her up the little hill and into the tent...

Inside was a picnic, with steaming silver platters, and a chiller humming away with champagne and cider in it. Two places were set, with roses at one place and a small box all in black sitting next to them.

And a window, in the tent wall itself, showed a view out over other mountains.

A man nodded to them and slipped out, going to another tent.

"Surprise."

	Ganieda walked with him and upon entering the tent, her mouth fell open as she took in the scene within. "You...did all of this? For me?" She looked over at him and grinned. "This is the best surprise I have ever had." (Reply to this) (Parent) (Thread)

	He smiled softly. "You deserve the best, dear beloved." He smiled softly and set her at her seat, sitting opposite her. "The flowers and the present are for you." The box held sewing needles, and a small, simple silver ring. (Reply to this) (Parent) (Thread)

She blushed, smiling as he led her to the table. She sat down, arranging her skirts neatly. "It's all lovely, Sam."

She took up the small box. She was a bit puzzled by the sewing needles, but not displeased at all. The ring fit her ring finger perfectly. "Sam, you spoil me terribly. So beautiful. But..." she tilted her head. "Sewing needles?" The two gifts seemed to be...a little unrelated.

"I learned a little sewing when I was younger, and my teacher always told me... a lot of crafts make things, but if you want to make something that will fulfill it's purpose, sew it. Sew it with love, and care and purpose. And it will be used, and cared for, and end itself in service."

He nodded, and blushed.

"I want to build and craft a life with you, Ganieda."

	Ganieda swallowed hard, and pressed her hand to her heart, which felt full to overflowing. Her smile was a little crooked, and her eyes were shining.
