Ganieda was becoming very good at walking quickly since coming here. Living in the city afforded her a myriad number of destinations within a very short distance. She comes into the Library, peeking around to find Sam.

She is wearing a wine colored cotton dress and a long, lightweight coat--sometimes the breeze is cool and Ganieda can feel it. Her hair is long and loose, as usual, and black as a raven's wing. She is bringing a moderately stocked bookbag, and she has earbuds in her ears, which she takes out of her ears.

She frowns in concentration as she looks around for Sam.

	She thinks he is a lovely sort as well. "You aren't? You seemed quite friendly to me. Yes, let's get a table...someplace to spread out." They find a place by a window...which might be a bit of a distraction but Gani liked having natural light. (Reply to this) (Parent) (Thread)

	He blushed at that and nodded, settling opposite her. "Cool! I've not been here before. It's kind of nice." He glanced around and settled his bag on the desk, pulling out his laptop as he did. 	"It is rather a nice library. It still astonishes me how many books you have access to in this time. I come here quite often, for the apartment is too quiet with my mother gone." 	He smiled. "And even more books exist online. People in my time seem to get off on writing almost anything." He nodded. "I mostly hang out around the University's library, so I get that." 	She can follow him, but he uses a lot of slang she doesn't...quite understand. "I as well," she says. "This world has taken a lot of getting used to. I was quite frightened at first by the automobiles." She grins at him. "Most of the 'friends' the girl who I replaced had are long gone. I have...changed, a bit." 	Sadly, he has yet to realize that. He nodded. "So when did you come from, time-wise?" He nodded, listening. "Yeah. I replaced someone who had no friends, really, so there was not much change. "Well, it has been nice having a mother...though I do not appreciate the past life of the girl I replaced. Luckily, I look just like her, and Mother seems to have taken the change in stride." She laughs. He's...rather charming. "Well, it was strange, but luckily, I found that a version of my twin brother was nearby and he helped me become comfortable rather quickly."

She blushes a bit. "Well...she was rather...ah, open. And immodest. Let us just say that some people knew that." She grins again suddenly and covers her face with her hands briefly. "Very embarrassing to me, as you may imagine. She was often in trouble in school, so my apparent change in behavior has earned me some astonished looks."

	He grinned. "Oh? That's cool! Who would have guessed an alternate twin from the past would show up..." he blinked. "Really? Wow." He chuckled and blushed. "Yeah, I can see that. Ganieda...blushes to the tips of her ears. "That is very kind of you to say."

She feels a little awkward and strange. This was...rather a different conversation than she was used to having with anyone.

"I simply ignore it. Oh, and told the computer to take the pictures off of the internet, of course." She grins. "There are some advantages to talking to one's computer."

	He nodded, listening, and grinning at her. "I bet. Having an interactive computer would help with a lot of things!" He stared off for a second, then brought himself back t her. "Well...I think it is...itself. And...here, you may." She took out an mp3 player. "I used an extension spell of my brother's...anything of mine that might have a computer inside it, or a 'hard drive' as they call them, they are all linked to the main one at home."

She turned on the player and gave him the earbuds. She talked quietly to the mp3 player...quietly, so that no one will hear. It's quite mad to speak to machinery, you know.

He will hear a slightly mechanical voice, neither male nor female in tone, saying, "it is pleasant to meet you, sam witwicky. mistress is happy and that bodes well. we are well-met indeed."

She grinned at him. "Sorry. It is a little formal sounding."

Ganieda grinned. He was so enthusiastic!

"it is good to meet one of mistress's friends. she calls me compy, when she is feeling whimsical." The mechanical voice sounds amused; this may indicate that Ganieda is 'whimsical' much of the time. "i am...neither male nor female."

Ganieda whispered, "Thank you, Compy. I am sorry I am not very good at naming things."

"it is well, mistress. i have no idea what you would have called me, in any case."

	"Compy? That is cool." Sam grinned. Hey, hje had named a Dog spotty, so he had no room to talk. "Do you enjoy being in your current form?" He just wondered since the only AI he had known was a giant robot. He poked Ganieda. "Hey. You named him, and that is what matters, giving names is important, I think." He nodded. "i do not know any other form to be, the voice said. "it would be as if I asked you whether or not you enjoyed being a human. and mistress is a kind user; much different than she used to be. thus, it is a good life."

Ganieda blushed when he poked her. "Thank you."

"mistress, you should have dinner before you go home. your mother just e-mailed to say that she would be late."

She sighed. "Thank you." She grinned at Sam. "At least she e-mails me."

The player goes dark as the life goes out of it and back to the larger computer at Ganieda's house.

"No, I've not had it yet." She smiles at him. "I would be glad to eat with you. I do not particularly like eating alone."

Many times she goes to her brother's but sometimes she has too much to do.

"I think my computer was pleased with you," she laughs. "I do not often introduce it to people."

"Well, it can talk to me anytime. I knew these mobile computerized beings, robots, they are called, or Autobots, specifically, back home, and they would have liked him, too."

He nodded.

"And you are welcome to come by my dorm anytime, too. I have my own room area, so you can hang out, if you like."

He nodded. She was cool! Which was, from his point of view, superseding the fact that she was also very beautiful.

He grinned at her.

"So, want to go eat now?"

	She grins at him. "What's a dorm? Is it something to do with college?" She starts packing up her things...that never really got unpacked but that's fine. "I would love to, Sam."
