In Avalon, Merlin toiled, preparing a room. It was slowly taking shape. In it, he would eventually show Ganieda more powerful magics, and his children as well. It formed of a hill, swirling into being, made out of the stuff of magic itself, gathered by Merlin.

When he was done, he rose from where he had toiled and smiled. The room floated atop a hill, inches above the rocky peak, and glowed softly.

With a nod, he turned, and headed to greet Ganieda, who would be arriving soon. He wanted to share the news of his oncoming child, and of the joy of it.

She shook her head. "I think I may be altogether too practical for that," she says, laughing. "I barely have time as it is to think of such things."

Not, of course, that she did not look--she'd never been around this many male creatures in her life, coming from a place where her only contacts were mainly women. And they were quite interesting and sometimes attractive in their many guises.

But with schoolwork and taking care of her mother and studying her magic and the other things that occupied her time, she barely thought of them as more than potential friends.

	"Well...I have been keeping up with my class, which is a wonder. I must thank the ladies for teaching me my Euclid so very well. And I am finding History and Social Studies very interesting indeed.
