Kimber had made a stop on the way to pick up popcorn. She was still wearing her big pair of sunglasses that were a half-hearted attempt at anonymity. On her arm was a bag holding the popcorn and the dvds she'd brought over. Buried further down were some sketches and her costume.

She knocked on the door to Doug's house and waited. She was nervous. It took a lot of guts to tell somebody her secret; she still hadn't told her boyfriend. She wouldn't have told Doug if she didn't need him to help her.

	Kimber returned his grin. "Outrageous!" she squealed. It was going to be so cool. She was really glad she'd confided in Doug. "And you can make the remote chippy things in earrings? I mean. She smiled at him. "I couldn't do it without my friends." Her friends had always meant more to her than boyfriends. Boyfriends came and went, and usually when they went she didn't keep in touch. Friends were what really mattered. Which is why it was so important for Doug to know she hadn't lied to him. She couldn't have a dating-thing messing up a friendship-thing.
