Warnings: Decaf coffee and awkwardness?
As much as Laurie was more inclined now than she was a few weeks ago to hope for a good meeting with Eddie, it didn't stop her nerves. As far as she could tell, there was no way to avoid awkwardness, and she'd given up trying to think of ways around it. Still, her mood was good as she wandered into the coffee shop about 10 minutes early, and a quick glance showed her she was the first one there.
Rather than wait, she gave her order to the barrista, and once it was collected made her way to a comfortable chair in the corner to wait. |
