Who: Solvei Samuels and Faith Lehane
What: Sol is in a bad way. Faith to the rescue!
Where: streets of NYC, then a cemetery
When: Night after spending the night at Dean's
Warnings: Blood, violence, EMO

All day long Sol hadn't done much but drink since she'd gotten back from Dean's. After talking to Em she decided it was best to get out of her loft. She didn't put it past Emily to send Faith over anyway and it wasn't that she didn't want to see her friend... she just wanted to be alone. That part in your brain that helps you make the smart decisions instead of the dumb ones? That part in her brain wasn't working right now. All she could think of was her baby and the fight with Dean. How she had hit him. That was the only time in their entire relationship that she had hit him. Instead of going to a bar and having to deal with assholes the first liquor store she saw she went into. She bought a bottle of Jack and just drank as she walked. Not really caring who or what saw her.

After she had drank the whole bottle she was tired of it and threw it as hard as she could into an alley. She stopped to watch and listen as the glass broke into a million pieces. She felt like she could relate to that. The breaking into a million pieces part. It was really all of her fault. It was this place. She wanted her baby. As much as she was glad that Faith and Emily were here she wished that none of them had ever came here. She felt that she deserved to be alone. They were better off back in their world.

Sol really was making herself very easy prey right now. She should've been walking home as quickly as she could but she didn't. And, instead of calling someone for a ride she just kept walking. Who could she really call anyway? Faith or Em? No, because they'd probably be pissed that she hadn't resolved anything with Dean. At that thought she laughed bitterly to herself. All of her friends here were more like acquaintances than anything else. Kyle? She didn't know where to start thinking about that. She probably ruined what she had by last night's fiasco

For some reason she decided that right now would be the best time to go for a slay. Maybe if she could beat the living daylights out of some vamps and demons she would feel a little better. So she started to walk back the way she had came from. Stopping at a rather old large cemetery she went inside. She was so drunk though that she could hardly get her stake out of her jacket pocket.

Not sensing the fledgling vamp it had jumped onto her back and she landed hard onto the ground. It was going for her neck. She pushed up from the ground and twisted and was able to get out from under him. He was on her again and she kicked at him with her legs. The vamp finally went far enough away for Sol to be able to stand up. She heard a growl behind her... another one.

Normally both of these vamps would've been dead by now. The reason why they weren't was mostly because she was drunk but there was also another reason. She wanted to see how bad it would get before her instincts took over and she staked them. There was a part of her, that thought that she deserved for them to beat the crap out of her. Obviously, she wasn't thinking clearly.

"C'mon boys, nows your chance. Take a slayer down on her bad day." She taunted them.

They both jumped her and she just let them. She decided that she'd count to ten in her head before she did anything.

Ten. The first one kicked her in the stomach and the second one punched her in the jaw.

She slumped over a little and stood up straight. Nine. "Slayer... you're not even trying." One of them growled out as he backed up a little. The other one decided that it was his chance he grabbed her by the neck and bit down. Eight. Reflexes made her shove him off clumsily. She couldn't help herself but she still wasn't fighting back.

Seven. Two hits to her face, one to her back to a kidney. Six. The other one grabbed her and threw her into a headstone. Her back hitting it when she landed. Five. Four. She stood up and vamp number one grabbed a hold of her and bit down on her neck. Three. She let him. The other one grabbed the other side of her. Two. The were drinking deep. One. Something took over and she somehow pushed them off. Grabbing her stake off the ground she staked vamp number two as he charged her again. He ran into her stake.

Feeling woozy she couldn't stand on her feet any longer. Dropping to her knees the last one jumped on top of her again and she couldn't seem to push him off this time. She'd lost a lot of blood and had taken quite a beating. Her eyes closed and she saw her baby's face, smiling up at her. Yeah, this wouldn't be so bad.

Faith didn't hesitate, she let her fist slam into the side of Solvei's face, Sol's head bouncing off the window. It wasn't hard enough to knock her out or anything like that, just hard enough to get the message across. Faith was pissed.

"You ever do something retarded like this again I will fucking kill you myself." She growled out at Solvei, as she started the car and drove towards her own house. She wasn't bringing Solvei back to the Palace of Misery. Yeah, there were a bunch of sluts at Faith's house, but at least they weren't miserable sluts.

She shook her head, grumbling under her breath about her stupid friends as she drove through the busy streets of New York.

Sol's head hit the window with Faith's punch and she looked over at her and glared at her. "I don't know what you're talking about. I was drunk and sloppy, there's nothing more to it than that."

She crossed her arms across her chest and realized that she was still bleeding from the neck. On both sides. She didn't have anything other than the sleeves of her jacket so she just held them up to her neck and put pressure on them.

"Where are we going?" Looking around she saw that Faith wasn't taking her back to the bakery. She turned a corner and she knew that Faith was taking her back to her place. Whatever. As soon as she got cleaned up she'd head home. Clearly, she wasn't thinking clearly because she could hardly walk.

"Faith..." She started but she didn't finish it.

"You're an idiot!" Faith raged out at her friend when she tried to play it off as being drunk and sloppy. "And what the fuck, I can tell you're drunk. You stink like whiskey. Not really the best time to be out tryin' to slay vamps." Faith shook her head and grumbled some more as she kept her eyes on the road. She couldn't even express how pissed off she was at Solvei. What the hell was Faith supposed to do without her?

"We're going to my place and before you argue it's either there or the hospital, you pick." Faith snapped back out at her and glanced over in just enough time to see Solvei look away from her.

She sighed, feeling the anger ebb away with the fear that Sol could actually get herself killed. Now that Faith was taking her home, to her place no less where she could keep a watchful eye she wasn't as scared. Fear does funny things to people, but on Faith it only manifested itself through anger.

Faith pulled the Bentley up in her garage and glanced over at Sol who was bleeding all over the interior of her car. With a sigh she leaned back, feeling all of her resolve melt away. "You can't do this." She said to her softly. "I won't let you."

"So I made a bad decision. Sue me." Yeah, that was a lame reply. But did Faith actually think that she was going to admit to her what she was doing? That she was just doing a little experimentation on how far she could let things go? No fucking way was she going to own up to that. What did it really matter anyway? Her life was meaningless. The baby. She screwed Dean and then broke him again. If Kyle found out... it didn't matter. She was sure that when he found out it was going to be over.

Sol didn't say anything when Faith told her that they were either going to her place or the hospital. Faith knew how she felt about hospitals. It was a give in what choice she would make. Really, she was surprised that Faith didn't head to the hospital just to spite her.

Biting her lip Sol stared straight ahead. Tears were there again and they'd flowed over her bottom lids. "After everything that I've been through, we've been through, how can you even say that? You saw that I was really happy for the first time ever. How can I just fucking go back to this place? Like it never even existed. Like he never even existed."

"Dude...." Faith started, feeling herself freeze up a little bit when Solvei started crying. Leaning back in the seat again she just watched her. It wasn't like Faith was really good at the comfort and consoling. She was pretty sure, in the entire length of their friendship, she had never hugged Sol even once. She never hugged any of them, except for Emily but it was more Emily hugging Faith.

"I don't know." She finally said, feeling helpless and cursing the fact that Emily was out because she was much better at this part of being friends than Faith was. "You just... you just fucking do, alright?"

She didn't know what else to say so she just got out of the car and then went around to the other side of the car to help Solvei out. Once they were inside, the girls scattered from the living room at Faith's request for medical supplies as she plopped Solvei down on the couch.

Once the girls brought her some bandages and a wet cloth she reached over and started wiping some of the blood off of Solvei's neck. "You're not alone, you know? You got me, and Em and Kyle."

Sol didn't think that Faith had ever seen her cry. Not until she got here that is. It seemed like she'd cried more here then she ever had in her life. "Yeah." Taking her hands away from holding pressure on her neck she wiped her face with the clean part of her sleeves.

Not answering Faith when she said that she just had to move on, Sol just closed her mouth. She didn't ask her how or why because she knew that she didn't know.

"Em's Dean's friend. You know that. Once Kyle finds out... y'know what'll happen." What I deserve, she thought to herself. Then she remembered that Faith didn't even know yet. She'd only told Emily. "Dean and I fucked last night. Then we fought this morning. I hit him across the room. End of story."

Sol winced when Faith put some ointment stuff on her bites. Then she covered them up with some gauze. "Thanks for patching me up. I'll head home now." She wanted to do what she always did, she wanted to bail. Being alone was a lot better than actually having to talk about it. Plus? Her and Faith weren't really the talk it out type.

The minute Sol started to get up, Faith grabbed her by her shoulder and pushed her back down on the couch. "Don't think so." She said sternly to her friend. Solvei was spending the night whether she liked it or not.

"Emily's your friend too." Faith pointed out to her on Emily's behalf. "And y'know I don't think you give Kyle enough credit. He seems like a decent guy which is more than I can say for ninety percent of the men I've ever met." She said dryly. The truth was, Faith regarded Dean as a decent guy too. You know, when he wasn't being a complete prick.

"But you know what? If you're right? If Em heads off to hang with Dean and Kyle ditches you cause of everything that happened? Well, fuck them. You still got me." She smirked at her slightly. "And I'm pretty fucking cool."

Solvei frowned when Faith pushed her back down on the couch. She knew that right now she couldn't fight through Faith to get out. "So now what? You're gonna babysit me for the night?" She was pretty much acting like a brat but she didn't think she was.

"Yeah, because all nice guys take it oh so well when their girlfriend tells them that they've cheated on them?" She huffed and she didn't even remark on Emily because she knew that Faith was right about that.

She couldn't help it when the corners of her mouth turned up a bit at Faith. "And modest too." Sol told her dryly.

"You got any food? I'm starving and really thirsty." She knew that it was probably lack of blood more than anything else. It was just her body telling her that she had to replace what she lost.

"Yeah. There's food in the house but we can order out if you're feelin' it." Faith told her, tossing a stack of take out menus in her direction. There were still people coming and going through the living room. Faith had gotten used to this considering she did technically live in a brothel but it occurred to her that Solvei may not be okay with it.

"Hey, get out of here. This place is off limits for the night." She growled to the people still milling around. They could find other places to be sluts, in her opinion. She owned a huge fucking house, so it wasn't as if they really needed to be in the living room.

"Figure out what you wanted?" Faith asked, as she plopped down on the couch next to Sol and stole the menu away from her so that she could figure out what she wanted. She'd only slayed one vampire tonight but Faith was always hungry.

Sol could care less about her hos coming in and out of the room. It was kinda amusing to her actually but if Faith didn't want them in here she didn't really care. "It doesn't matter."

When Faith tossed her the menus though she looked them over. There was a pizza place that had pasta. That sounded kinda good. Fettuccine alfredo sounded like the ultimate comfort food right now. "Beer and pizza and I want some fettuccine." Maybe beer wouldn't be such a good idea?

Sol knew that Faith would either have them deliver food or send one of her hos to go get it. Either way she wasn't worried about money like she used to be. Both of them had gotten lucky that way in this world. That was at least something.
