Shang Tsung has one more day, and then his wife would be moved into his mansion. He never thought he would be this excited to be living with his wife, but if being in a strange realm taught you anything, it was to appreciate friendly faces... not that he and his wife were always friendly to each other. Their relationship was an odd one.

The servants were cleaning the place up, even though it was spotless. Shang Tsung went over to Charles.

"Charles you know this mansion better than I do. I need a big room, one that is preferably not frequented. Do you know such a room?"

Charles looked down at him, "Yes I do Master Tsung. Shall I take you to it?"

"Please do," replied Tsung.

	sonya opened her eyes fully, rubbing the bridge of her nose. Quick or not, the strain left her with a headache. "I don't even want to try and read your soul, it might give me even a worse headache." 	Shang Tsung stood up, and beckoned for Sonya to follow. He lead her back to the alley, and reopened the portal. "That was interesting, I can't believe people eat that here. "It's cheap and filling, that's all it's meant to be anyway, though it's far from healthy." She stepped through the portal, an experience that felt like walking through a wind tunnel.

"Now," She said as soon as they were back in the sparring room. "I believe I owe you a 'compensation prize'?" What the hell, she was feeling generous and he did teach her a complicated form of sorcery.

	"You would think," he said as he came in closer to her. They kissed again, and he slowly pulled away from her face. He went down from her neck, to her chest, and down to her stomach. 	Sonya would've thought that the strain from the sorcery as well as the sex, it would've tired her out, and while she was rather hot and sweaty, it was the same as running a five minute mile: tired but not out of it. She stood up on her elbows, her braid falling over her shoulder.

"Maybe sorcery's like learning a foreign language: it's easier the younger you start, but then for some adults, it's easier once they understand the basic principles."

"When I was training for special forces, what sent most of the men home where the mock interrogations they forced us to go through. Everyone knew they were set up, yet they still tried us mentally and emotionally. 'Soul Blocking' is similar to the techniques taught at the time, so that made 'soul reading' much easier."

I do not think a lot of the strongest, and hardened of warriors could learn sorcery as quickly as you have. I think you have natural ability... we can continue your lessons later. Wine sounded like a good idea, Sonya got up as well and poured herself a glass.

"Most of the 'hardened warriors' didn't make it through the academy. I'm not sure about 'vast intelligence', more than focus, trying to read a soul..you have to really block out everything else." She took a sip. " That's a compliment coming from you, I'd like to see how far I could go. However...rest assure that you can keep the method on how to steal souls to yourself. I've no intention on learning an ability only to become dependent on it."

she paused and looked at him. "Really though, what would you've wanted from me had it been you to win the bet? It couldn't just've been merely sex, since you don't need to win a bet to get that from me. So there must've been more to it."

	Shang Tsung took an elongated sip from his glass. "Well Sonya, to be honest I would have asked you to be in the bed, naked for twenty-four hours... but I think this was enough." Sonya frowned and looked at the watch, still on her wrist, though there were pink marks in her skin from where it was rubbed to tight. "It's a good thing I won then. Not that the idea itself wouldn't be fun, but I would've been here till almost noon, and I have to get up at 6 in the morning tomorrow: helping a civilian recruit get into the department. Would just the rest of the day work? or did I tire you out that much." She laughed at the last question as she sat back on the bed, wrapping a blanket around her.

"I don't believe you, I think you just don't want me to become as powerful as you."
