Kyle had said that he'd pick Sol up in an hour which meant that she didn't have that much time to get ready. The first thing she did was run to her closet since he said that he had made reservations. She'd never been to a place that took reservations before so she had no idea what to wear. In the back of her closet she found a few that might do. She grabbed them all and held them up to her in the mirror. She decided on a sky blue knee-length strapless dress. At least the person who's place she took had a good variety of clothes. Because most of the clothes she would've never have bought for herself. She found a pair of strappy heels that matched it.

After she set out all of her clothes she jumped into the shower. Once she was done with that she only had a half hour. She took ten minutes to dry her hair part way. Just enough so it wouldn't be dripping anymore onto the dress. Deciding not to put it up she let it just fall in waves down her back. Quickly, she put on some make-up. She wasn't really a make-up person but she put on just a bit of eye make-up to make them more defined and some lip gloss.

After putting on her dress and her shoes she went into her living room to wait for Kyle. She only had a few minutes until he said he would be there. It was strange that she felt a little nervous about this. Considering that it was the first time she was going on an actual date she didn't feel that weird about feeling nervous. It was an excited kind of nervous because Kyle had made plans for them to go out.

Sol wiggled her eyebrows at him. "Oh? Do you have something extra special in store for me tonight? Like... the leather pants? 'Cause if you got them I didn't bring my boots." She teased him.

Everything seemed to be so happy and light when they were together. She really treasured each and every minute that they spent together.

It wasn't very far to Kyle's place at all. It only took them about ten minutes to get there.

"'Fraid the leather pants will have to wait for another date. Mainly 'cause I have no idea how long it would take me to get into them, only to try and get them off for you later." Kyle winked at her as they headed down the street.

It was times like these that Kyle was thankful he could find the balance between his life as a hero and as her boyfriend. He wasn't concerned with saving the world right now, just concerned with being with her.

Once they had parked at his apartment complex, he reached out and took her hand, leading her up the steps and straight to his apartment. "You ready then?" He cracked the door open and tugged her gently inside. The lights were off right now, so he was sure nothing looked out of the normal..

"Most of your surprise is in the bedroom. Maybe I should make you close your eyes."

Nodding at him when he asked her if she was ready she followed him inside. The lights weren't on yet so she couldn't see anything yet.

"If I close my eyes how will I see what the surprise is?" She asked him and pulled him to her in the dark for a quick kiss. She'd been waiting all night to do that.

"Fine. I'll close them." She closed her eyes and let him lead her into his bedroom.

"Well, it could always be more of a surprise for your sense of touch, as opposed to sight." Of course that wasn't the truth, but he did like teasing her, even though they were moving closer to what he had in store for her. Leaning in when she pulled him towards her, Kyle was quick to kiss her back, he felt like he'd been waiting an eternity to have his lips against hers again.

He gave a slight nod and reached down to take her hand after she'd agreed to close her eyes. "Promise I'll make it worth the wait." He moved towards the bedroom and turned the light on, illuminating the room, though he made sure to keep it fairly dim. "You can open your eyes now."

The bed was covered with rose petals, something which had taken him a small amount of time to accomplsih, but that was really just the frosting on the cake, so to speak. On the bed itself there were four seperate gifts. The first was a plate of chocolate covered strawberries. Two of the others were gift wrapped, waiting to be opened. Inside one of the said boxes there was a kit of chocolate body paint. In the other, there was rose and a silver necklace for her. At the end of the bed sat a book that was obviously handmade. Kyle had drawn the illustrations and written the story. It was written as if it were a childrens book, starting out with 'Once Upon A Time' and it was about how they had met and what had happened to them.

When Sol opened her eyes after Kyle had led her in the room her eyes got wide. He had spread the bed with rose petals and there were two wrapped presents, a plate of chocolate strawberries, and a book that looked to be something that he had made. "Oh! Kyle!"

He handed her the first present and she opened it up. Inside was edible chocolate body paint. She started to giggle a little. "This looks like fun!"

The second package she ripped into when he handed it to her. Inside was a silver necklace. "Oh, it's so pretty. Will you put it on me now?" She handed it to him and he put it around her neck. Her hand went to it to feel it against her neck. Leaning into him she gave him a smooch.

Then, he handed her the book that he had made for her. She opened it up and started to read it. It started with a drawing of the two of them sitting on her balcony together. Then them going to visit Emma and Charlie. Then there was the time that he had rescued her from Times Square and taken her to Mogo. She flipped the page and she was the second to last one and they were sitting together at dinner. There were tears in her eyes when she had finished it.

She set the book down on the bed side table and smiled at him. "You're incredible you know that? I'm not just saying that because you've showered me with gifts and spoiled me completely rotten tonight either. I love you so much."

Everything was completely perfect right now. Standing up she pulled him up too. Sol went into his arms and he wrapped his arms around her. She'd never felt this loved or good ever in her life. Tilting her head back she smiled at him before putting a hand to the back of his neck and pulling his lips to meet hers.

Seeing the look on her face, the way that her eyes widened, the smile that came across her lips, it made everything more than worth it. Kyle had wanted to give Solvei so many things, to try and find a way to express how much he wanted to be with her, and how much he loved her. Knowing that it was going to mean as much to her as it did to him was pretty special.

When she opened the present with the chocolate body paint inside a grin split across his lips. "Okay, I'll admit that the body paint is more of a gift for me, seeing as how it's combining my two favorite things."

He had already started to move closer to the bed to hand her the gift box with the necklace inside. It was silver and fashioned in a celtic style, just something that caught his eye, and something that he thught would look beautiful on her. "Of course I will." He murmured and slipped it around her neck, gently caressing her cheek when she turned to face him.

Alright his heart was beating faster now as he handed the book to her. It was something that he'd made himself. He'd done all the illustrations and tried to narrate it was best he could. He wanted the book to be something special, something that no one else would ever be able to give her. He licked his increasingly dry lips as she read it, hoping she wouldn't think it was stupid. The tears in her eyes said differently and he gently brushed them away with his thumb.

He was smiling just as much as she was, it showed in his eyes, in everything. "I love you too. I just..I wanted to show you how much. I wanted you to know I'm in it for the long haul. You and me 'til the wheels fall off."

Both of his arms went around her small waist when she moved towards him, he wanted nothing more than to hold Sol, never let go. He kissed her deeply, one filled with passion and emotion, she got to him in the best of ways.
