Who: Aziraphale and Crowley
What: Chess (which is to say, who knows?)
When: Backdated to... Wednesday? Yesterday.
Warnings: There's no telling. We haven't quite decided, yet.

Crowley wasn't quite sure what to make of the sickeningly modern building the Angel had directed him to. Looking around the lobby, he decided it was something he could imagine himself designing- perhaps he had. He hardly remembered all of the designs he had created, over his decades in New York. Still, it was hardly the sort of thing he expected his ang- Aziraphale, to bother with.

Deciding to stop thinking so far into things, he simply willed himself to the Angel's front room, lounging over his disgustingly chic leather couch. Rather than announce his presence, he simply reached over to turn on the over-priced flat-screen TV, settling on one of his soaps. In Thai.

"New rules," Zira stated with a matter-of-fact tone. HIs foot shifted under the table, brushing Crowley's foot, either by accident or deliberate choice. His mind was as blank as his expression.

He felt the touch, but chose to write it off, focusing instead on the game. "I take it I don't get to know these rules either, dear?" A hint of annoyance crept into his voice, but he played it off with anoter move on the board, and another small shift of his wings.

"I dare say, if you wish to get anything accomplished, then, you'll have to make your move,"

"I've a feeling we're no longer talking about the game," Zira moved his piece, putting Crowley in check once again. He shifted, and his wings spasmed behind him. He drew his hand across his lip in a somewhat suggestive gesture.

"I've a feeling we're not talking about the same game, but a game nonetheless," He sat back, moving to get out of check one last time, although he knew he was on his last legs. It was even more apparent, as he glanced back to watch the Angel's wings again, letting his sight linger that time.

"Are you quite alright, dear?"

"Never better, dear," Zira answered with a very smug smile as he won the game. At least, the chess game. "Dear me, did I just win? The first time in 6000 years."

The Demon turned his eyes back to the board, and looking over the configuration, was entirely sure the Angel had cheated. It was enough to get a near-proud smile out of him, as he nodded.

"Indeed, it seems you have, dear. Congratulations," There was a comment to be made, about taking his prize, but he wasn't quite feeling that... vulgar, just yet.

"Huh." Zira looked over the board. "Winning feels good, my dear. I can see why you never let me win, before. So. What's my prize? Surely I deserve something, after 6000 years." He batted his eyes, feigning a look of pure innocence.

"Come now, Angel, what did I ever recieve for winning, other than accusations of cheating? Which, by the way, didn't go unnoticed," He finished off his liquor, moving to pour himself another glass.

"Accusations," Zira waved a hand in a dismissive gesture. "Truthful observations, more like."

"Well then. Would you care for my truthful observation?" He smirked, sipping a little more from his whiskey.

"That's just it, my dear. You never cared for my vulgarity before. Now, dare I say, you're enjoying it." In which, 'enjoy' was something far more vulgar than it sounded.

Zira gasped and leaned back, a hand at his neck, attempting to feign innocence. "I should say not, my dear. You must be losing your touch."

Crowley seemed nonplussed. "The thing is, dear, I'm not losing my touch. I may be misusing it, given recent events, but apparently that is up to you and your 'rules'."

Zira deliberately nudged Crowley's calf under the table. "Really, my dear. I did prefer the low, raspy, sexy voice."

Chin tilting downward, Crowley's golden eyes peered over at Zira over the edge of his sunglasses. "Is that sssso, dear?" He let the hiss go, a mischievous smirk passing over his lips.

Zira laughed. "Now you're just showing off, you old serpent."

"I do believe, if I were attempting to show off, there would be far fewer clothes involved," And perhaps rope, he added mentally, to at least attempt to irk the angel, some. He needed to get his amusement somewhere, after all.

"Is that so?" Zira arched a brow. He caught the vaguest hint of a rope being involved, and the thought caused his breath to hitch in his throat. he clared his throat to cover it up.

Crowley caught the subtle noise, and his smirk widened, an illustration of just what would happen to Aziraphale if he decided to call Crowley on the little stand-off they had going.

"I do believe, but you'll have to tell me, Angel."

"What I wish to hear, of course," Crowley was doing his best to maintain composure, but the appeal of the game was quickly losing ground to his desire to see just what would happen, if he were to take the next step... poof the table out from between them, hands on the arms of the angel's chair, wings spread in as threatening a gesture he would ever allow himself to make towards his Adversary.

It was a near thing. On the other hand, he'd waited the span of human existence. What was five more minutes?

"I'm terribly afraid you're going to have to be more specific, dear boy." Zira's foot slid across Crowley's calf once more.

Oh, bugger all. Patience was a virtue, that Crowley had clearly shed on his trip Downward. He moved the table forcefully over to the side of the wall, the pieces snapping back into place as if scared into it. He hovered over the Angel where he sat, wings spread, close enough for Aziraphale to feel the breath on his lips, without them actually touching.

His voice took on his 'low, sexy tone' as the Angel had called it, as his eyes peered over the edge of his glasses, into Zira's blues. After a minute of tense consideration, he pressed the extra centimetre forward, giving the angel a hard, fiery kiss. "Was that quite specific enough for you, dear?"

"Quite," Zira murmured. Crowley had come at him so fast he hadn't had time to react, only to respond. He'd wanted to melt against the demon, press himself so fully against him that they became one. Only the excited flutter of his wings held him back, and kept him somewhat grounded.

A hand raised up, to caress the arc of Crowley's wing, feeling the tickle of feathers on his skin. He gasped and shivered, and looked up to Crowley's face. His other hand reached up to slide the glasses off his face.
