Who: Aziraphale and Crowley
What: Chess (which is to say, who knows?)
When: Backdated to... Wednesday? Yesterday.
Warnings: There's no telling. We haven't quite decided, yet.

Crowley wasn't quite sure what to make of the sickeningly modern building the Angel had directed him to. Looking around the lobby, he decided it was something he could imagine himself designing- perhaps he had. He hardly remembered all of the designs he had created, over his decades in New York. Still, it was hardly the sort of thing he expected his ang- Aziraphale, to bother with.

Deciding to stop thinking so far into things, he simply willed himself to the Angel's front room, lounging over his disgustingly chic leather couch. Rather than announce his presence, he simply reached over to turn on the over-priced flat-screen TV, settling on one of his soaps. In Thai.

The demon smiled, turning his head to press a kiss to the side of his Angel's neck.

I know, Angel mine.

If he could, if he had the capacity, he was certain he would love Aziraphale back. Even still, hsi Adversary got more emotion out of him than anyone, or anything else; excepting the fires of Hell themselves, but it was on the opposite end of the spectrum. He wanted to love him. He just wasn't sure it was possible.

In time, Crowley might learn to love. If it was indeed possible, Zira was confidant he could break past the walls and the resistance. He'd already made an impressive dent, the way he calculated things.

Crowley could sense the direction of Zira's thoughts, grumbling and rustling his wing some. "You should have asked earlier, don't be so smug. It's terribly unflattering, for an Angel."

"More like a demon, as it were," Zira responded with his own thoughts. He shrugged a little and shifted, settling closer to Crowley and deeper into the shadow of his wings.

"Exactly," He seemed to hold the idea in ill regard, not out of a sense of self-loathing, but because he didn't... want that happening, to his Angel. His purity, his... annoying sense of righteousness had been half of the appeal, and if he lost that, the demon wasn't quite sure what he would become.

A sudden wave of... something passed over Crowley, as his arm and wing wrapped around his Partner, effectively cocooning him in the warm embrace.

"If you've any desire for me to leave, dear, I suggest you..." He gave a little stretch, before settling in even closer to Zira, if that were possible." ...shove it." He obviously had no desire to leave.

"I should think not, serpent." Zira tilted his head up, rustling Crowley's wings, but it was worth it to steal a kiss from his lips. "I've studied the passions of man for 6000 years, mind, and I do think it quite rude, to fuck and go."

Crowley held back a smile, instead yawning to try and feign some sort of fatigue. (They didn't need to sleep, but if he could guilt the angel into suspending that knowledge, long enough to nap with the Angel in his arms, he was going to try it.)

The sudden shift in the angel's weight, as he drifted to sleep, assured Crowley that Zira was willing to simply relax, and let go, completely. He didn't need sleep, and perhaps didn't indulge in it as often as Crowley, but he did enjoy a good nap from time to time.

Smiling, Crowley leaned in to press a kiss to the back of Zira's neck, shifting to adjust enough to get comfortable to sleep, himself.

"Sleep well, my Angel,"
