What: Gifts and trips.

After getting Sweeney's message that he had something for her, Sadako hailed a taxi and paid the driver extra to hurry it up. She all but leaped out of the taxi, smile tugging at the corner of her lips.

She was excited, and she shifted from foot to foot after she knocked on the door.

"You were born in a cave?" He said, brow raised, his smile slightly tilted as he finished combing, slipping an arm around Sadako's waist. "Interesting. So, when's do we go?"

He wasn't exactly prepared to go on a trip, but a few days weren't going to hurt his business, and his desire to see Japan had budded, since it was something of a mystery to those who hadn't been born there when he was alive the first time around.

She shrugged, but she'd always been proud of her ability to survive even as an infant. She could see that he was a bit more excited, and she grinned. "We can leave whenever you wish. I'm not choosy." "I'll go pack a bag." He said, running a hand across her jaw, then her neck, "I'll also give Petit a telephone call, and tell her that she has off for the next few days." He gave Sadako a kiss and stood, offering his hand to her to help her up.

"You should go make the necessary preparations as well, luv. As much as I do feel the need to be here, I can't let the world be alien to me. There's much I've yet to learn, and plenty of time to learn it." He looked to Kage, who wagged her tail, "I'll see if Petit can look after the dog. They like each other, and Petit's pet seems to enjoy her company as well."

"I'll go pack a bag and then come back straight away." She stood up and kissed him on the cheek. "I'm still looking for a theater group to perform with, but I will need someone to look after my rabbit. There''s a neighbor I think will do it." She waved and hurried home to prepare.

It didn't take her long to pack a bag, and her neighbor's daughter agreed to come feed her rabbit (what little girl wouldn't want to?) for a small fee. Soon Sadako was knocking on Sweeney's door again.

Petit couldn't be reached, but her boyfriend was, and although they had very little in common, Artan was all over house sitting because signing autographs was about to give him carpal tunnel. Sweeney said he'd pay - and he would - and Artan was at the house after about ten minutes, poking around and being his short, tattooed self in the living room while Sweeney packed.

Sweeney did answer the door, though, "Welcome back. Sadako, I'd like to introduce you to Mister Artan Stillman, he's Petit's suitor, and a fine young man. He'll be looking after Kage and my shop while we're gone."

Sadako smiled at Sweeney, and then turned her head to bow slightly at Artan. "It's a pleasure to meet you, Mister Stillman. Thank you very much for looking after Kage and Sweeney's shop. I confess I'm a bit impulsive." She smiled genuinely at him; she trusted Sweeney's judgement, and if he liked Artan, it was likely she would as well.

His statement made her laugh, and she leaned forward, smiling impishly. "Don't let Sweeney scare you. My track record is far worse."

	Oh. Modern humor. How nice. He deadpanned, "I would be inclined to laugh if it were funny." He patted Artan on the shoulder and gave Sadako a kiss on the cheek before going and getting his ladies, packing them in with the toiletries. (Reply to this) (Parent) (Thread)

Artan stood straight as a rail and mentally stuffy-voice thought Blah blah to you too, Mr. Todd.
Then turned back to Sadako, "Oh really? Awesome. I bet that makes for great dinner talk. So, you two are going off to Japan? I've been there once or twice, you know, for jobs. Tokyo's pretty awesome, I love the, what's it... the Akihabara district. Gotta love state of the art gadgets. Where you going?"

	Sadako laughed at Artan's thoughts. Don't let him catch you thinking that, Mister Stillman. When he turned back toward her, she smiled at him. "Tokyo is interesting, but we're going to Okinawa, where I was born. I think with Sweeney and modern technology the best thing would be to start small." (Reply to this) (Parent) (Thread)

Artan, being from a place and time where telepathy was a mutant thing and totally understandable, didn't get weirded out, he just got a wry grin He can't kill me, so it's no biggie.. He nodded, "Oh yeah, I wouldn't make him go somewhere like Tokyo. Hell, it'd be like taking Jack or someone to like, Las Vegas. Too many shiny things, probably give him a headache." He smirked, "Yeah, so take care of him, sugarbutt, I mean, he's a nice guy, for being kinda you know, out there." He shrugged one shoulder, "Hey, if you guys could do me a favor, I was actually needing to go there myself. There's this really wicked set of weapons I was thinking of yoinking for my girlfriend. Could you find out where this guy lives? It's on Okinawa, so it's not like, totally out of the way." He pulled out a little black book from his pants pocket and offered up the name, "His name's Kazuyoshi Miura. Apparently, he's got a set of plates..."

	The very mention of plates in relation to Petit got Sweeney's attention. "Is that so?" He said, coming back out with one suitcase and one smaller bag. "Then, we'll look into it. 	The more interesting thing than meeting Artan was how Sweeney reacted to him - and the information he gave. Sadako inclined her head again toward him, smiling. I'll take care to find him for you. Sweeney handed off the keys to Artan and picked up his bags, walking out with little more than a nod of departure to the tattooed younger man. Yes.

He walked quietly to the portkey, off in his thoughts and wonders, though he was pleased with himself. The combs in her hair looked very nice, and in fact, were better in the daylight than he would've thought.

"Haven't been on holiday." Ever.

Sadako couldn't stop smiling. "I've not been on holiday as an adult. I remember going on holiday with my mother and her husband when I was young, but when mother started to go mad..." She shook her head. "It obviously wasn't an option."

As they approached the portkey, she took his hand, imagining exactly where she wanted them to pop up. Touching it was still an odd experience, though she was pleased with the result. In front of them was Shuri Castle, a lovely introduction to the island, as well as an easy place to get a ride to a hotel with other tourists. Well?

	Once he'd gained what bearings he could, he squeezed her hand and looked around. It was a new experience, a new land for him. "It is wondrous." He said after taking in all he could from the area. 	Sadako couldn't help but smile, squeezing his hand. "We've only just missed the rainy season." She readjusted her bag on her shoulder, smiling up at him. "We'll spend the night here in Nago before heading north to stay where I was raised. And obviously, if there's anything you'd like to do, we'll do that as well." (Reply to this) (Parent)
