It took him about four tries to figure out what the hell he was doing, when it came to portkeys. He'd ended up in about 4 different places, too, and each one had left him with a deep yearning for the NORMAL world, where he could just get into his car and go to Rory's house, rather than having to deal with weird time periods and messed up ways of travel. But finally he managed to make it to the right spot, or at least close enough that he could walk the rest of the way. The entire trip had left him with knots in his stomach, though those could easily have been attributed to the fact that he was going to see Rory. After their fight and everything that had gone on before that, he just wanted to have things settled. He just wanted to know where he stood with her.

He wanted a chance.

Swallowing heavily, Jess buried his hands in the pockets of his coat, fidgeting a little in the strange clothes, before knocking on the door as loudly as he could, and hoping someone would answer. Preferably someone friendly.

The way the cities dramatically changed was incredibly difficult to deal with as Rory had enough on her plate as it is. She was already trying to deal with the loss of the Jess that she met when arriving here and now she was facing this other Jess that was so much older and knew of the things that happened in her world. She felt a bit strange suddenly having these feelings for this Jess but knew on some level that they were all the same on some level. She had to get used to that fact or else she was simply going to get more confused.

Rory was rereading the brown paper that she had to use to write rather than her computer, her perfect handwriting scribbled to each one of Jess’s reply. She was still in some sort of actual daze, wondering what exactly came over her to suggest that Jess came over. All she wanted was to figure things out and finally get her head back on her shoulders. She couldn’t continue running into him knowing how she felt about him and also knowing about all the things he wanted.

She needed to fix this and she needed it to stick this time around.
When Jess arrived Rory wasn’t even sure if she wanted to answer in what she was currently dressed in. She was clad in a maiden’s outfit, the entire thing covering her body so tightly that she could hardly breathe. She had curves that she didn’t even know she had and she was embarrassed to show them off to the world.

It took her a few minutes to answer the door, her entire apartment having been turned into some old fashion house made of bricks and stone. She peeked out of the front door when she opened it, those bright blue eyes finding Jess’s right away as she greeted him as nicely as she could.
“Hi,” she said, her tone uneasy.

Her uneasy tone didn't help him feel any more confident. Jess had already begun wondering just what the hell he was doing there, and what they were going to figure out. What more was he supposed to say? He'd told her everything he had to say, and now here she wanted him to be in the room with her? What more could he do to prove how much he loved her, anyway? He simply didn't understand it, and he wasn't sure he ever would. Unfortunately for Jess, his thoughts were cut off by the sound of the door opening, and his mouth dropped open a little as he took in the sight of Rory in her gown. Fuck, this place was extremely messed up, but if that was the result . . . he could definitely get used to it. "H-Hey," he managed to mutter, swallowing heavily as he took in the sight of her in front of him, after what felt like years, already. It hadn't been that long ago that she'd turned him down, but he once again couldn't help but crave seeing her. He wanted her back.

"You look great."

“I do not. I look ridiculous. I feel like I just walked out from some sort of ball or dance-whatever.” Rory’s cheeks didn’t even attempt to stay that solid pale color as they quickly flushed a deep pink, her eyes going a bit wide when she felt the sudden heat rush from her skin. “D-Do you want to come in? I mean, you don’t have to or anything but I would think this would call for sitting down? We have a lot to talk about.” But, what were they really going to discuss? What did Jess have to say and what was she going to say to him? She had so many words already jumbling together to make sentences and yet all she could really do was stare at him.
