The Daily Prophet July 12th, 2002
Harry Potter, The Farce Rita Skeeter
The Celebratory Ball held by the Ministry of Magic ended in chaos last night as a symbol, the Wizarding world thought was long gone, hung above the Ministry building, spreading terror among the attendants. At approximately 9:48pm, the Dark Mark appeared in the sky. The caster unknown and the purpose for it being there unknown. This reporter has been told that the man responsible for casting the spell has been apprehended, but there has been no news on the reasoning behind his actions. It is clear that no one was injured but several were severely shaken up.
Many people are looking toward our so called Hero, Harry James Potter. As he proclaimed, over three years ago that, with the help of his friends Hermione Granger, Ronald Weasley, and the infamous Order of the Phoenix, he vanquished the Dark Lord. With the return of his symbol, this reporter has to question Mr. Potter's integrity. As, this reporter is sure, many Daily Prophet readers may remember several stories containing evidence on the questionable moral fiber of our saviour. Over the years there have been many witnesses who can vouch for the strange behaviors of The-Boy-Who-Lived. Was the proclamation of victory all a farce? Have we been lied to?
This would not be the first time that the Wizarding world has been tricked into a false sense of security by the actions of The-Boy-Who-Lived. We once believed Voldemort to be gone only to have him return with even more power and cause such heart ache and destruction. Is this our fate? Will Lord Voldemort be returning once more? And if he does, who will stand with him. This reporter finds it odd that the Mark of the Dark Lord appeared during an event where one, Harry Potter, was in charge of security. This has been a pattern we are all familiar with. As a member of the Auror division, The-Boy-Who-Lived has access to much more then he did when he was 11.
I urge you all to consider one last question. With our safety in the hands of Harry Potter and his friends, just how safe are we? |
