Who: Angelina Johnson, Open to Oliver Wood, Roger Davies/ anyone else who would be at the pub drinking away their troubles.
What: Drinking, pretending life isn't happening?
Where: Devils Lair
When: Wednesday June 19th, night time
Rating: E?
Status: Open/In Progress

She had come home from her match to find a letter sitting on the pillow of her bed. A very official, offensive looking letter that nearly made her pass out at the sight of it. She had glared at the letter for a good ten minutes, half debating just setting it on fire and claiming she never got it. When she did open it, she had no idea who the hell the person was. Her life was just getting better and better.

Alcohol was a must. And with alcohol came friends to share the joys of drunken bliss. She had contacted her friends, now she just needed the bar. She slipped on her shoes, and headed out the door. To her relief, her nosy neighbors were not in sight. She needed a night of mindless drinking, and no she did not care of the paparazzi decided to show up. The Ministry of Magic and effectively crushed her dreams for after she retired for Quidditch with one single letter, so she'd be damned if she didn't deserve a little fun.

The Devil's Lair was quite crowded that night, but she had no trouble getting in. Maybe it was because she was a girl with long legs in a short skirt, or maybe because she was semi-famous. Either way, she was inside, and making her way to the bar. Hopefully Oliver or Roger, and maybe even George would show up soon. She had promised the first round, which she fully intended on buying. But until they showed up, some firewhiskey was calling her name.

Roger was a little later than the other two Quidditch players to reach the bar, and once he reached it, he was immediately swarmed by female fans. He offered them a charming smile, and said in a confident voice, "sorry loves. I'm a taken man."

There was a general consensus of disappointment, and while they were gathering their wits, Roger headed for the bar. There were a lot of people in the bar, but he could spot Oliver and Angelina from a mile off. That happened when you played as many matches as Roger had against the other two. He was quite familiar with the both of them now, just like he was with so many other players in the league.

"Sorry I'm late," Roger said as he slid into the other seat by Angelina, "is it my turn to buy the round yet?"

"Well, either way, it works for me." he grinned, glancing over to the barkeep for a moment. "I'll have what she's having." he ordered, his gaze already turning back to Angelina. "Granted, anything that doesn't look like my apartment works for me."

At the arrival of the third member of their party, he glanced over his shoulder to Roger who was just approaching, offering him a nod in greeting. They each had their rivals when it came to Quidditch, but given the circumstances, it really didn't matter who played for what team and where that team currently was in the standings. At the moment, he really didn't give a damn about Quidditch ... which for him was saying something. "Davies. Glad you could make it. It seems we've all got more in common then just Quidditch." he shrugged, at that. "Though, I haven't decided if that's a good thing yet."

She handed off the cash to the barkeep without him having to ask, still looking at Oliver. "Couldn't agree more. A silent apartment is the last thing I need, I might have put a hole in the wall." she admitted. She was absolutely furious with the ministry, and wasn't that thrilled with her match. It wasn't his fault, but his personality was not making it any easier.

It wasn't hard to tell when Roger arrived, with the mob of girls moving toward him. Angelina turned a little more to watch him come toward us, an amused grin on her face. "Don't worry about us, Davies. If you need to spend some more quality time with the fans, we won't stop you." she teased, then shook her head, adding. "Still my round. Order away." she had just bought Oliver his drink, now she could get Rogers, and then someone else could get the next one. When he took his seat, she turned to face the bar. A boy on either side of her, she almost felt like she was being a buffer, and it was amusing.

"It's so not a good thing." she added, looking to Oliver, and assuming he was talking about the marriage. "I think my husband might wear more make up than me." she shuddered slightly at the idea, downing more of her drink.

It had been a very long time since George had felt like going out and having a few drinks with some friends. He wasn't as social as he once was, but he was starting to miss it, which was a good enough sign for him. Perhaps things were starting to get easier...though, with the new marriage laws, he supposed those good changes were about to be immersed in tension, anger, and all together displacement. Despite having this going on around him, he wasn't there to think on it. He was in the middle of a crowded pub because he was looking to catch up with some friends. Friends he hadn't seen in quite some time.

He spotted Angelina first, before noticing Roger and Oliver were already with her. Heading in that direction, he couldn't help the small smirk. 'Bloody Quidditch enthusiasts', he thought with some amusement, not that he could blame them, he used to love the game too.

"Don't tell me, you've started without me, ladies?" He grinned, coming up behind them

"Talking to my fans, are you, Weasley?" Roger asked at George's arrival. He decided not to comment on Angelina's jab about him spending time with his fans. Granted, he probably spent more time with his female fans than most players, with the obvious exception of Oliver, but he was taking this marriage thing seriously. Roger liked Asteria a lot, and had no desire to see her name smeared in the press, or do anything to hurt her.

"I'll take a double of the firewhiskey," Roger ordered, cringing when he saw the waitress who had coped a lot more than a feel the last time he had been in this place. Hopefully if he stayed with this group, he wouldn't have to worry about her unwanted advances. Merlin knew the paparazzi, or a spurned fan would get a picture of that and leak it to the press. Last thing he needed was to be on the cover of the Prophet.

Oliver had just taken his drink when George had walked up and announced his arrival. It was definitely good to see him, it had been a long time. What pleased Oliver the most was the fact that George looked well. The last time he'd seen him, he'd been a bit worried about the man's health.

"George! It's about time you got your arse out to have a drink with us." he responded, raising his glass in a toast. Grinning, he glanced back over his shoulder to the barkeep. "Another one of these , thanks!"

"George!" she said excitedly. He was perhaps, one of her most favorite people. One of her very best mates through Hogwarts, and even though. She spun in her hair to reach out and hug him, extremely pleased that he had actually showed up. It had been so long since he had come out with anyone, it was a good thing. Maybe a slight turning point. Who knew?

Angelina finished off the last of her drink, setting on the bar and looked to the guy behind it. "Make that two." she said with a smile, before turning her attention back to the three boys she was with. "Order whatever you want." she said looking at George. "I still owe you one before it's someone else round." she had no idea if she was going to end up paying for the second drink that Oliver and herself was having, and she really didn't care.

"Nah, they're just distracting me from my biggest fan." George responded, clapping a hand on Roger's shoulder before his attention was affectively pulled to his lovely best friend.

Smiling brightly, he returned the hug with ease and adding an extra squeeze just for good measure. "Angelina!" he responded, with just as much enthusiasm and a teasing smile. "Whatever you're drinking is good enough for me."

George said his hellos to Oliver as Angelina turned to order a drink. Surprisingly, given the amount of people in the place, it wasn't too difficult to hear each other, making conversation much easier.

Roger was slightly surprised to see that George had made it out with them tonight. From what he had heard, George had pretty much closed himself off from the world after the loss of his brother. Roger didn't know George that much, so he obviously hadn't really been there for the other man, but that didn't mean that he wasn't glad that George had come out.

Though his friends seemed disappointed with their matches, Roger really wasn't, so he was going to stay pretty quiet tonight. It wouldn't exactly help them to know how content he was with Asteria.

"Next round's on me," Roger said with a small nod to the bartender.

Oliver snorted when Angelina persuaded George to order a drink. "This one was for him." he pouted, accepting the new drink from the bartender with a laugh. "You try and do something nice and people ignore you." he teased, keeping the drink for himself. He hadn't finished the one he had, but he supposed he know wouldn't have to order the next one.

"So, I hear you're the newest member of the crew to be shackled to another person." he responded, taking his drink and turning his chair in the direction of George. "Bloody well sucks, doesn't it."

"Oh, sorry love, I thought you were getting a second one for yourself." she said with a shrug toward Oliver. Oh well, now he had two drinks? Or George had two drinks? Either way, someone shouldn't be complaining because they had two drinks on Angies tab.

"Did you find out who she is?" Angelina asked George. The name he had written had rang some bells, but Angie hadn't been able to put a face with a name, or even a name with a House. It was just a name she might have heard once or twice during her time at school.
