Who: Seamus Finnigan, Luna Lovegood?, and OPEN
What: The Wedding Reception! Of DOOM!
Where: A meadow in Northern Ireland.
When: Wednesday June 18th, 2002. Early afternoon
Rating: E for everybody!
Status: Open/In progress.

The wedding had been pretty amazing by Seamus' standards. He had no idea how Luna and his mam got on, but they had managed one hell of a wedding. Even the reception was amazing. A maypole, flowers everywhere, plenty of green, lively music, and alcohol. Lots of alcohol. Seamus could only hope certain people were staying from the alcohol. He really did not need a scene.

Thinking back on the wedding, Seamus pulled his tie off and unbuttoned the top of his shirt. It was too bloody hot in the day to be wearing so many layers. He smiled as he remembered actually seeing Luna walking down the aisle. He barely knew her and she seemed the most beautiful woman in the world at the moment. He had been so happy his mother had insisted on flowers in her hair. Seamus had forgotten the priest was talking to him for a moment as he smiled at his bride. Only a sharp jostle from his best man had brought him to attention.

Seamus smiled, grabbing a glass of lager out of somebody's hands as he searched out his wife. Wife. Now that was an amazing word. Afraid he wouldn't be able to find anybody in the crowd he yelled out, "OI! Anybody seen me wife?" He rolled his eyes as a man nearby made fun of him for losing her already. Another man was commenting how that was never a good sign. "Bloody drunkards."

"Oh, hello Harry" Luna said cheerfully, seeing the dark haired man out of the corner of her eye. She reached up and grabbed the edge of the table holding the cake to pull herself out of Seamus's lap and to her feet. "We were just having a bit of cake. Don't mention it to anyone."

"Your secret is safe with me, Mrs. Finnigan." he grinned, stepping forward to hug her. It had been a while since he'd seen either of them and was glad to have a chance to catch up. "You look beautiful."

Once he released Luna, he grinned over her shoulder to Seamus. "Don't worry, Seamus. You look beautiful too." he smirked, knowing Seamus would be the first to start in on the harmless teasing had it been him.

"Oh good, I was going to be seriously hurt if you didn't think I looked beautiful on my wedding day. Oh, I'm the happiest groom alive!" Seamus laughed, leaning to give Luna a kiss on her forehead.

"Love, hope you don't mind but I need to greet the other guests. Harry, we can catch up later, aye? Take care of my wife and don't tease her too much." He gave a friendly wink and walked off, searching for other familiar faces.

"I figured you would, mate." Harry chuckled, stepping out of the way to let him pass. "I'll catch up with you later."

Harry turned his attention back to Luna. "So, is it as horribly awkward as everyone seems to think theirs will be?" he asked raising an eyebrow. "Think the rest of us who weren't lucky enough to snap Miss.Lovegood will survive?"

Luna leaned over to wave at Seamus as he disappeared into the crowd before smiling up at Harry. "Thank you Harry." She chirped. "Actually, its not awkward at all. Seamus is a really nice guy and things have been going on rather well."

She reached out to slid her arm through his, looking up at him curiously. "I can't say I know how everyone else will survive though. How are you doing Harry? Have you set a date yet? I'm looking forward to your wedding."

Ginny, as well, had been planning to attend the weddings that seemed to yield a happy agreement. Or well, an agreement of any kind. And, of course, if Seamus and Luna had been betrothed to anyone - not necessarily each other - Ginny would have attended happily and with extremely warm wishes. To be honest, Ginny found the couple, although they were forcefully joined together by the Ministry, was quite charming, if not plain entertaining. She would have expected quite an entertaining wedding from either of the two, but hearing them call eachother wife and hubby just made it all the more amusing.

Having been asked to be Luna's maid of honour was something she didn't necessarily expect. However, it was beginning to push Ginny in a warmer environment concerning the set pairings. Luna was clearly very pleased with the get together and Seamus was, as always, quite warm company. Ginny, who had been quiet for most of the preparations, still a bit uneasy about the whole process, but would volunteer to help with whatever was needed. Seeing as the reception had begun, however, Ginny did well to find a drink - or two - and company.

Ginny's hands were tugging at the waist of her dress, a light green picked specifically by the bride herself. Her hair was, as per usual, falling down her back, shorter than it was in her Hogwarts years, but long enough to fall well past her shoulders. She had kept quiet most of the day, but couldn't help but find herself in the midst of a long, genuine grin at the situation and, simply, about the interaction between Luna and Seamus. Having spotted company she not only preferred over strangers, but company she had been seeking for a good amount of time at the wedding, Ginny quietly - or as quietly as she could in heels - pulled herself close behind Harry. She had, as her childhood had taught her, learned to be overtly quiet when using it to her own advantage. Ginny had a knack of catching those who thought they were catching someone else.

"Yes, when's your wedding?" Ginny's voice bled sarcasm to those who don't know her well. It was genuine, though, to those who did. She spoke low and steady, but her mouth was curved, waiting perhaps for the expectedly calm reaction to her interruption. Ginny tucked her free hand in between her elbow, and rested the base of her glass on he other elbow. Although confident looking, Ginny truly loved the company she had just breeched upon and made it known with her eyes.

Harry smirked over his shoulder as Ginny came up behind them. "I could ask you the same question, Gin." he responded, stepping to the side to allow her into their circle. "I'm attempting to ignore the details. Mrs. Greengrass is pretty much dictating what's going on with the input from Daphne, so I figure, I'm not needed." he responded, shrugging.

"It works for me and the elder Greengrass doesn't have any more reason to despise me...other then ruining the Pureblood line..which in all honesty, wasn't my fault."

Ginny took a sip from her glass. Nodding calmly, as if what Harry had said was extremely reasonable, Ginny looked up at him. "Right, right." Again, her eyes pleaded sincerity, despite what her tone yielded. Narrowing her eyes at him a bit, she ceased her nodding and her face became animated, despite her calm stance.

"All you have to do is show up, right?"Ginny had a sinking feeling behind her navel that most of the weddings would happen as such, if at all. Luckily, they were at one of the happier of the occasions. "And even then, maybe not." Her shoulders were shrugged and she took another sip, looking to Luna. "It seems much easier for the blokes, yeah? I think that's how most weddings work out." Ginny blinked back towards Harry, stepping slightly into the space made for her.

"And I don't know when or if my wedding will be occurring." To punctuate the statement, Ginny took another sip, as to avoid and quick snapped questionings. She also saw it fit to perhaps continue talking to digress from that specific subject. "And honestly, Harry, ruining the Greengrass name like that," Ginny shook her head, "You should be ashamed.

"That's the basis of it." he nodded. He had no problem with 'just showing up'. Less time he had to spend with the protective brothers and disapproving mother. Though, he supposed he would have to deal with them on a regular basis after the marriage....oh well. At least it wouldn't be every day and he could escape to his own house.

"Oh yes," Harry snorted, with amusement. "Horribly ashamed. What say you on this atrocity, Luna? It's a terrible shame, isn't it."
