WHO: Parvati Patil, Mikael Harper, and OPEN!
WHEN: Tuesday July 1st, 2002
WHERE: Bolsover Castle, Derbyshire
WHAT: The WEDDING... reception!
RATING: PG-13 in case of cursing
STATUS: OPEN/ In progress

"I do." Two words which made Parvati want to scream. For the most part her wedding had been nice and traditional, well for her culture anyways, however it seemed Mrs. Patil had spoken with Mrs. Harper and they arranged for some parts of the wedding to be normal, British vows. It annoyed Parvati, but oh well. At least the wedding was over with. She was officially Mrs. Mikael Harper. Parvati wrinkled her nose subconciously, disliking the name. Mrs. Parvati Harper. Ew. Still horrible. Parvati smiled as she finished speaking with one of Mikel's relatives, feeling the odd urge to leap off a cliff. This was supposed to be the happiest day of her life. So much for that.

Parvati smiled at her guests, realising she did not know half of them. Extended family from India. Ew. Now where was her wonderful husband? She had a few things to say to him. Deciding it would be best not to yell at her own wedding, Parvati took her place near the bright flowers, receiving the blessings of women wishing her a fertile marriage, with a fake smile. She was most definitely going to gag.

"I hope you mean for life in general, because there is no way I am going back out there. I had to deal with them for two hours. I'm pretty sure your mother has told me every..." Her face turned a brilliant shade of red. "Well, never mind, but I refuse to go back out there."

She turned her attention to the wonderful cake in front of her. She had the best cake ever and was so very happy. Not to mention her gorgeous ring, but her stomach was overruling her girlish side at the moment.

"My mother can be a bit much...okay, that was the understatement of the century" Mikael rolled his eyes, happily eating his cake. "I'll protect you from her. After 22 years together with her I know how to shut her up...temporarily at least."

"Say what you want, Miki darling, but I refuse to go back out there. You can go right ahead." She would have to be mad to face that insanity again. It seemed the wedding was more for her parents now anyways. "Right now, all I want is some champagne or something to go with this cake. I'll be in here if you need me." Though if he brought anybody in she would dive for hiding again.

"Wow, not even married for one day and I'm already your slave," Mikael rolled his eyes as he got up, thinking about how he could best manage to sneak some drinks as he left.

Returning 15 minutes later with two glasses and a bottle of champagne Mikael didn't look amused anymore.

"You can't see it, but there are scratches and bruises all over my skin because people were trying to grab me. It's nothing short of a miracle that they didn't tear my clothes," Rolling his eyes he handed Parvati one of the glasses.

"Poor baby. Remind me to pity you later." She happily took one of the glasses, smiling like she hadn't for a good week. all week she had been working and stressing over people's dresses. "I am so ready for that vacation. Away from everybody." Well, except him, but she could easily get rid of him. Hopefully where ever they were going would have a hot tub.

"You'll have to do a lot of pitying." Mikael pointed out, opening the bottle and filling first her than his own glass before he sat down again.

"Cheers to cake and a week away from everybody." taking a sip he wrinkled his nose. "You know, we could come back and change our names or something. Make sure they don't all send us letters and whatnot, telling us what they weren't able to squeeze in today."

"I'll toast that!" She smiled, doing a slight clink of their glasses before she took sole possession of her drink. She sipped at her champagne before returning to her lovely cake. Best day ever now. "No need to bother. We can just throw those ridiculous letters into the fireplace. What else is fire good for?"

"Oh well, that's true. Now I am even tempted to say that my wife is rather brilliant," Mikael winked, sipping his champagne. "It'll be much more satisfying to throw them all into the fire."

"Careful, it may just go to your wife's head. You don't want her to have a big head now, do you? Your own ego will take up enough room in the house." She smiled, ignoring how pleased she was at the moment. She didn't need a reason. Mmmm, cake.

"This cake makes this day worth it."

"Merlin beware no. We might have to get a bigger house then." Finishing his cake Mikael sighed with satisfaction.

"You know, we should probably marry every weekend just so we can have that cake every weekend."

"Do we even have a house? I remember you mentioned having somebody look, but... obviously I have not heard anything about that." Parvati smirked as she looked at one of the cakes. They should probably freeze some of this for them to enjoy later. ....Or not. She finished her glass of champagne.

"Or we need to find every excuse to have cake from that place."

"Well, he found a few houses we might like. We should probably look at them when we're back." Mikael refilled their glasses.

"I am sure we can find enough excuses."

"Let's see... A honeymoon cake, a yay we found a house cake... See, two good excuses right there!" Parvati smiled as she found herself soon becoming full. She could always take the rest of the cake home.

"I suppose we could look at the houses when we get back. It gives us a little longer to enjoy our freedom." Well, not her. Not since she would be returning to her parents'.

"Not to forget all the yay we survived another day without killing each other cakes," Mikael winked, taking another bite of cake. he hadn't really eaten anything today and yes, he was definitely starving.

Sounds good to me."

"In that case, I'll be fat within a week. I'm surprised I could even fit into this outfit after my binge eating last night. Though I'm sure it was nothing compared to yours."

Their house would most likely have many sweets. It had better, at least. She wasn't sure how to survive without sweets.

"Nothing will ever compare to the binge eating of last night. I swear, I was unable to move for a while. I thought I'd never ever eat chocolate again, but this very cake here told me not to be stupid and to try it and what can I say? I will always be addicted to chocolate." He sighed dramatically.

"I don't see how you could even think of not eating chocolate again. That... would be the worst thing ever. Next you'll be swearing off ice cream! Shiva forbid such a thing." Parvati smiled and refilled their glasses.

"I wonder if it's calmed down out there."

"I know! It's a horrible thought and you see how worse and critical my condition was because I was actually thinking it." Mikael grinned before glancing at the door.

"I wouldn't bet on it and I won't dare to take a look either."

"Hmmm, to throw you out there or not. Now there's a good question." Parvati smiled and pushed her plate away, eyeing the door critically. It was a good question. He did need to suffer for leaving her alone. "I think... I am full. Of the cake at least."

"I've already been out there to get the champagne, I'd say we are even," Mikael pointed out, now eating his third piece of cake.

"Well have more champagne then."

"Champagne does not make us even. You popping out there for fifteen minutes is nothing compared to two hours of listening to every family member on both our sides telling me the most disgusting things while I'm forced to keep a smile." Parvati shot him a glare, resisting the urge to either shove the cake in his face or throw the glass of champagne. Instead she chose to take another sip of her drink.
