Well, he did have to admit that he was glad that Daphne had actually come back to England instead of going to France. It would have made tonight a little more difficult had she actually followed through on her words. After his run in with Eleanor, he'd headed home. That had been quite the encounter and he personally wasn't mentally up to another meeting. His arm hurt and he needed a shower...which was rather interesting seeing as his left arm was completely wrapped up. It had taken twice as long to shower having to remove the bandage and then ultimately rewrap the arm. He'd been tempted to just leave it but it was starting to heal and he didn't want it to get infected, not to mention that it didn't look very good. In a sense it had been his own fault, but he still had that annoyed anger at the fool who had decided that pronunciation wasn't an aspect of spell casting.

Having eventually managed to shower and change, he'd slid his shoes on and headed out the door. He wouldn't need a jacket, it had been rather warm all day and he wasn't expecting it to exactly cool off once the sun went down. He certainly had mixed feelings about their meeting tonight. On one side, he felt like a total arse. Ron had said it before and he'd probably say it again. Harry was far too easily offended. Harry knew that and most of the people he knew were aware of it...Daphne on the other hand...well, she'd just been thrown into the equation. He'd come to the conclusion that it was George's fault for opening his mouth and he should therefore not be mad at Daphne...of course, this had come about after he'd gone off on her. Then there was the other side of the argument .... well, there really wasn't another side, not unless you counted the fact that he didn't want to have to apologize for being an arse twice in less then a week...but again, that wasn't her fault either.

Eventually reaching Daphne's apartment, climbed the stairs and knocked on the door, waiting patiently outside rather then opening the door on his own. The might have been married, but this was still her apartment.

It was good that he didn't let go because she wouldn't have wanted him to. Not then at least, to her, it felt like they needed that moment together. Regardless of what topic they were on, just being with him felt good and she hoped it would only get better in time. Which from what she had heard from her already married family members, it certainly would.

When he kissed her neck, she smiled softly, letting her eyes fall into sync with her own. "I don't care what we do, I just want to be with you right now." And it was true, regardless of how forward it was to him. She didn't care if she had to help him pack or sit through an three hour lecture on Auror training with him, she just wanted to be near him.

A shrug was given at his suggestion, a smirk following it. "That really is a tempting offer," she teased, holding in a small laugh. "Lets just do whatever we feel is right."

Harry smiled, tucking a stray strand of hair behind her ear. It wasn't too difficult for him to decide what he wanted to do. A) hang out in a crowdy movie theatre of B) hang out with her...pretty simple. "I have the perfect idea." he finally responded, it wasn't anything special, but it would suit them just fine. "Hold on tight for a second, alright."

Shifting closer to her again, Harry made sure she was holding on before he apparated outside of his own building. There were wards on his appartment that allowed for him to apparate inside of it, but he wasn't sure how they would be affected by piggybacking another person. He'd rather take the lift then ending up splinching them. After Ron's encounter with splinching in their seventh year, he'd been absolutely terrified of doing it.

Releasing her, with the exception of taking her hand, he laughed. "Don't worry, I'm not going to get you to pack or anything." he smiled, leading the way into the building and toward the lift. "I just figured we could still have the same night, without the uncomfortable seats, sticky floor and other annoying movie goers."

When he told her to hold on tight, Daphne obeyed, taking a grasp of him before he apparated. Part of her really wasn't expecting that and at the same time, she knew she should have. Apparating was always extraordinarily uncomfortable, but it was the quickest and easiest way to travel and she really didn't mind it all the time.

As they arrived at his building, Daphne looked at it. She wondered if she knew which neighborhood they were in, though the surroundings really didn't look so familiar to her. Offering a smile as he took her hand, she walked with him quietly, letting him do the leading.

A laugh was let out and Daphne grinned. "Good because the way I pack sometimes, you'd never see some of your stuff again," she said with a coy smirk. His idea sounded perfect to her and she was finally looking forward to spending some time with him away from the public eye.

Naturally, when one wanted to just get where they were going, there always seemed to be a hundred things preventing one from doing so. For Harry, it seemed like the entire building had come out to say hello. 'Hey, Harry! Is this your girlfriend? She's pretty! Where are you two off to?. It was insane.

Finally reaching his floor and apartment, Harry unlocked the door and held it open for Daphne. The moment she was safely inside, he followed her closing the door and locking it as quickly as possibly. "Bloody hell! What is is a full moon? They're out in bloody packs." Normally, he wouldn't mind the neighbours being friendly, but at the moment he simply wanted to ignore the outside world...particularly those who responded with surprise to the fact that a) he was with someone, and b) that she was attractive. Like hell they'd be getting a christmas card.

Shaking his head, he turned back to Daphne. "Alright, so now that we've made it past the natives," he joked, kicking off his shoes and moving further into the apartment. He was quite glad that he'd cleaned up last night. He figured papers, maps, and any other random piece of work being scattered across the floor wouldn't exactly be the best image. "You get to pick a movie because they're mine...and I like all of them."

It was actually rather surprising to see how many of Harry's neighbors knew him and were so nosy. Daphne really couldn't help but laugh the whole time, so it was okay. "Your neighbors seem nice," she said sarcastically. Sure, they probably were nice, but they were also a little crazy, it seemed. A small grin crept onto her face as she assumed no one knew he was married.

Once they reached his apartment and stepped inside, Daphne looked around. She hadn't been over too many places that belonged to any bachelors, so it was different to see how the other sex of the species lived. Following suit, Daphne took her shoes off, shrinking several inches as she stepped flat on the ground. She hated wearing shoes.

"Oh, you can't make me pick! I don't know any movies. Can't we just watch your absolute favorite?" she questioned pleadingly, hoping that'd gauge some reaction out of him. Daphne definitely wasn't the type of person to be put on charge of things like that. She sat on his couch, pulling her legs beneath herself and looking at him again, this time with an innocent smile. "Please?"

Nice...well, that was one way of putting it. Yeah, they were nice, but they always seemed to know what was going on in his life. Half the time they knew before he did. It was bloody strange and slightly creepy. "My favourite, huh? That would be Good Will Hunting, but you have to be in the mood to watch it. Good story, though." he responded, glancing over his collection. Finally, he grabbed a familiar case from the bottom with a laugh. "Ten Things I Hate About You. I have a feeling you'll like this one."

Popping it into the machine and setting up the television, Harry returned to where Daphne was sitting on the couch, stopping only briefly to flick off the living room lights. He left the light in the kitchen on so it wasn't overly dark, but enough to make the screen stand out.

After grabbing a spot beside her, he froze for a moment. "Did you want a drink or something before this starts?" he asked, raising an eyebrow. "Drink, popcorn, chocolate?"

Daphne, unfortunately, was never raised with a television or anything, so she really didn't know about movies all that much. Granted, her parents did have a projector and she did make it to the cinema every now and again with her brothers, but she could honestly say she wasn't a big movie person. Perhaps it'd change in time, but for now, she wasn't an avid watcher.

When he suggest a movie and put it in, she had no complaints, only smiled and nodded. Whatever it was, it sounded good enough to watch for the two of them. Watching him sit, she smiled and made herself a bit more comfortable. "No thank you," she responded with a smile. Sure, if she did get thirsty, she'd ask for a drink in the future, but for now, she would much rather watch a movie with Harry.

Harry relaxed when she said she didn't want anything to drink. Before he relaxed too far, he reached for the remote and started the movie. The volume and everything was already set, so he simply just tossed the remote to the other end of the couch they weren't using.

Sitting back, he made himself comfortable beside Daphne. He did have to admit this was a much better idea then going out. Much more relaxing and he couldn't lie and say they didn't need the alone time. Being married was proving to be difficult...particularly since they were only just beginning to get to know each other. It would get easier, he knew, but for the moment, this was what they needed.

Daphne had faced him for a moment and smiled as he made himself comfortable, and as much as she said she wasn't going to, she leaned against him, her hand being placed on his knee. This would definitely be a nice night, she could already tell. It was good that they got along and better that they made up.

Being married was proving to be a bit difficult, but she had faith in their future and figured it'd work out for the best if they were lucky. At least that's what she hoped. Nothing was wrong with hoping.

He wasn't completely surprised when she leaned against him, but he couldn't say he all together expected it either. Either way, he wasn't about to complain. Moving his arm around her, he offered her a quick smile before turning his attention back to the movie.

It was a bit of a chick flick, but it certainly had it's funny moments. Hermione had actually bought this movie for him. He'd been doubtful about it in the beginning but had actually liked once they'd watched it, so it had successfully made it into his collection.

The movie was about an hour and a half in length but he hadn't been aware of the time when it had started, meaning when it was over he had no idea of the time either. "So, was I right or wrong? Like it?"

Another smile was given as he put his arm around her and she focused on the movie, laughing at all the right parts and enjoying their time together. She honestly couldn't complain once about the time they were spending together. The more and more they hung out, the easier Daphne was finding it to get along with him. She never thought she'd see the day, but she really did like Harry Potter.

"Well, Mr. Potter. I can't say I didn't like it," she said with a coy grin. In fact she liked it quite a bit, being able to fully stay awake. It was mostly a first, really. She wasn't a big movie person and often found herself bored to death.

Harry laughed, reaching over her to grab the remote and turn off both the television and the movie. "So what you're saying is that you liked it." he laughed lightly, reclining back to where he'd been. He was quite glad she hadn't been bored. That wouldn't have exactly been the outcome he had hoped for.

It was nice to finally have a stress free night. Since this entire thing started he'd been run a little ragged, both with work and the stress of finding out you were marrying someone you didn't know within a week of finding out such news. Now that it was done and over with and work had calmed down, he was enjoying the quiet...granted, he doubted it would last too long. His experience told him that the moment you were comfortable a curve ball would be thrown your way. He just hoped it was in regards to work and not his relationship...whatever it currently was...with Daphne.

"I might have liked it," she said with a cocky smirk. Yeah, she did. Daphne was in one of her more playful moods now that their night had a complete turn around and it showed. Grinning, she stretched like a tired puppy and flopped back against Harry.

Turning to him, she offered a bit of a nervous smile. "I'm sorry you had to hear all that earlier. I just thought that you should know that worse things have happened." She gave a shrug and looked down at her hands. It wasn't much, but she was trying to reassure him and make him feel a bit better about Dublin.

Harry shook his head amused when she responded. He was enjoying their conversation so he didn't mind the playfulness, in fact he encouraged it. With conversation like these, they'd be able to bond much easier.

The nervous smile that followed made him pause for a second. He wasn't expecting that. He figured after her initial confession, she wouldn't want to return to that topic and Harry couldn't blame her. He felt bad enough about Dublin, let alone what she'd been through. In his own mind, he felt bad for having caused her past to be brought up, despite the fact that he knew it was probably good that it had.

When she looked down at his hands, Harry's eyes followed hers. After a moment of collecting his thoughts, he took one of her hands, lacing their fingers together, figuring the action would be enough to get her to look back up. "You don't have to apologize to me. I'm glad you felt comfortable enough to tell me, that has to mean something right?"

Perhaps at the time she hadn't been comfortable, but there was also the fact that she didn't have to tell him anything and she certainly didn't have to attempt to make him feel better about his own past. "In all honesty, I don't care about France...outside of the fact that it's obviously a part of you. I'm not going to hold what happened against you. Everyone has a past, myself included."

When Harry took Daphne's hand, she looked up at him, offering an apologetic smile. "I'm sorry," she said with a bit of nervous laughter. She wasn't really trying to press the situation, but out of anyone who should have known about France, she figured her own husband should be that one. "I just didn't want you to think I was making anything up about having the same kind of experiences. I can honestly say that I've done what I can to forget it, but just hearing about Dublin kind of reminded me about it." She shrugged a little before offering a small smile.

She was glad he was understanding and she was definitely glad he wasn't going to hold it against her or respect her any less. "I'm not that person anymore. Sure, you've seen me drink more often than not since we've met, but I'm not who I was eight years ago. I haven't drank like that or been with anyone since. It's never been worth it."

Now that it was all out, she let a slight grin creep onto her face. "Now let me see that tattoo of yours," she said playfully, hoping that would take the monkey off his back for a little bit.

Harry gave her hand a reassuring squeeze. He might now have believed another person in the same situation, but Daphne had seemed honest from the very start, so it wasn't very difficult to find himself believing her. After all, he couldn't think of a reason why anyone would make up such a story.

He also found himself believing her when she said that she wasn't that person anymore. From what he'd seen of her, he knew that to be true. Having a drink wasn't the same as getting drunk and she hadn't pushed herself to that limit while he had been with her. Their first meeting and led to them being a little on the tipsy side, but her personality then wasn't anything that would have linked her back to her year in France. Harry had, for his part, rather enjoyed their first meeting.

When she pressed about the tattoo, he flushed, but reasoned that he could at least show her since she'd basically bared her past to him. "Alright, fine," he sighed, letting go of her hand and leaning back against the couch, "but you're going to laugh because it's absolutely ridiculous."

It was ridiculous. Just the very thought of it made him roll his eyes. Had he been in the right frame of mind he would never, in a million years, agreed to such a thing. Shaking his head, he opened the button on his jeans and unzipped the zipper just enough to be able to push the material down roughly an inch and a half revealing the black lightening bolt he'd had stupidly tattooed on himself.

"Don't ever listen to a random drunk girl you picked up on the street." he exclaimed. "Life lesson 567."

A smile was given as he squeezed her hand and she realized how lucky she was to have someone believe her when she said these things. Even her own sister, had she known, probably wouldn't believe Daphne if she told her that she wasn't the same, or that she had worked for years to gain back what she had before she went to France.

Watching as he leaned back, Daphne smirked and became excited to see his tattoo. When he finally revealed it, Daphne couldn't do anything but hold in a laugh, though a snort was released. "I like it," she said with a little laugh. "It's very ... you." True or not, it had charisma and it just seemed like a lesson learned, even if it wasn't the greatest lesson ever.

Grinning, Daphne stood up and shrugged. "It's only fair," she said, lifting up her shirt to reveal a small tattoo of a cherry blossom on her side. She wasn't so drunk when she got hers, but she couldn't say she loved it, either. "Don't ever listen to Carlisle Greengrass. Life lesson number 378!" She laughed and plopped down on the couch next to Harry again. "Yours is better."

Harry shurgged, sitting back up. He'd expected a laugh. It was rather amusing when one thought about it. Only he would get a lightening bolt tattooed on his pelvic bone. As if one on his forehead wasn't bad enough...granted that one was starting to fade. He'd hated the image of Harry Potter as a kid and then he goes and tattoos that very symbol on himself as an adult. Not exactly the smartest decision, but one he could do nothing about but live with it.

"Go ahead." he smiled with a light laugh, nudging her knee slightly with his own. "There is absolutely nothing you can say that George, Lee, and Ron haven't already said." Truth be told, he'd be surprised if there was some joke, pun or slur out there he hadn't heard, particularly from George and Lee.

Harry couldn't help but smile when she revealed her own. He wouldn't have guessed her side as the spot for it, but he liked the cherry blossom. He thought it suited her. Though, he thought she might be a bit insane if she liked his over her own. "What? Mine? Are you kidding me?" he laughed. "I'm a member of my very own fan club, for Merlin's sake. Yours is cute. Very fitting."

"Can I be in your fan club!" She teased, giving him a little nudge with her shoulder. They could be the two members and have matching tattoos and shirts and buttons. Just the thought of that made Daphne snort and she leaned back into the couch, laughing as she looked over at him. See? Things would work out just fine.

"Honestly, I like mine. And I like yours it's unique. It's a new trend for all of those wannabe Harry Potter's out there," Daphne said with a big laugh. "I couldn't think of you as having any other tattoo, I guess. I wouldn't imagine that anything else would look as good as that does." Daphne smiled as she looked at him. Really, it suited him just fine. Odd, and a little boring in her opinion, but not everything had to be exciting. Plus, it wasn't every day one came across someone with a lighting bolt tattoo.

"A trend?" he chuckled. He could just imagine the chaos that would cause. "I don't think we should encourage that. I doubt the world is quite ready for a rise in Harry Potter wannabe's. I'm sure one of me is quite enough."

If he thought about it, he couldn't think of another tattoo he could have got, although, he also couldn't think of himself every going willing near a needle again in his life. "The funny thing is that I'm absolutely terrified of needles." he admitted, turning his head to look at her. "I have no idea what was going through my head at the time and I can only imagine the scene I caused."

He was sure that if he ever stumbled upon that tattoo parlor again, the owner would up and close the shop. It was bad enough doing the routine check ups with the Ministry. Wizards could do a variety of things far better then the Muggles, but apparently couldn't think of any other way to get at one's blood except with a sharp, pointy object.

Daphne shrugged. It'd be a funny trend to see spreading throughout greater London, but probably awkward. She liked Harry as is. She did need to see thirty thousand more of him running around. She sighed contently and leaned her head back, closing her eyes.

"Needles aren't that bad. Then again, I haven't had too many encounters with them," she offered with a shrug, lifting her arms up to pillow her head, her eyes still closed. "I can honestly say that I'll never get another one, though."

Opening her eyes, she turned to him and smiled. "Thank you for tonight. I think we needed this."

"Oh yes, needles are that bad." he nodded, with a small shudder. "Sharp pointy things they jam into you. And they hurt! You'd think the magical community might be able to make it a bit easier, but oh no, that obviously is out of their skill level." What could he say? He had an issue with pain. It wasn't that he couldn't handle it. After seven years of feeling like his head would split down the seam every time Voldemort daydreamed, he could certainly handle it. The issue? He didn't like to handle it.

"Your welcome," he responded, smiling lightly when she thanked him. Again, she really didn't need to, but he knew she would continue to do so whether or not he said anything, so he didn't. "I'm just glad it turned out as well as it did." It had started out a bit rocky, but things had smoothed out and for that he was happy.

Daphne laughed, "Okay, you win," she said with a snort. She'd let him win this time, no problem with that. Never really having to feel the pain he had experienced was just fine with Daphne, in all honesty. She wasn't too keen on it and even when she fell off her horse at a younger age, she made a big deal out of it. It was doubtful she could deal with a massive migraine.

Smiling softly, she leaned over and brushed her lips against his. "I should probably go," she said quietly, smiling still. "I have to be at work early tomorrow morning and -- oh my god, Harry, what did you do to your arm?" she questioned, just catching a glimpse of his bandaged appendage. Had she noticed it earlier, she would have made a huge deal out of it, but for some reason, the sight of it escaped her completely

Harry had been in the process of returning both the light kiss and the smile when he very nearly jumped back at her sudden exclamation. He'd actually had to look down at his arm before his brain clued into what she had been talking about.

"Oh, that. It's nothing, really." he shrugged. It had been something when it had happened but now that he'd had it seen to, it had been categorized as nothing. "It was just a small accident at work. Apparently you're not suppose to turn your back on a rookie who can't seem to cast a proper blasting hex. It leads to 3rd degree burns. It should be fine by the morning." he explained, with a light shrug. It certainly wasn't anything to worry about now, even the slight sting was starting to fade, which surely was a good sign.

Daphne looked at his bandaged arm in concern, but just nodded. She knew very little about hexes gone wrong in his department, so there wasn't a lot she could do or say. Except perhaps make up for that lost kiss that she just scared him out of.

"Come here," she said with coy grin. She owed him at least one for scaring him half to death. Wrapping her arms around his neck loosely, she grinned and repeated the action, though this time without a sudden reaction to any hidden injuries. "I thought I owed you at least that," she said smoothly, grinning slightly.
