Well, he did have to admit that he was glad that Daphne had actually come back to England instead of going to France. It would have made tonight a little more difficult had she actually followed through on her words. After his run in with Eleanor, he'd headed home. That had been quite the encounter and he personally wasn't mentally up to another meeting. His arm hurt and he needed a shower...which was rather interesting seeing as his left arm was completely wrapped up. It had taken twice as long to shower having to remove the bandage and then ultimately rewrap the arm. He'd been tempted to just leave it but it was starting to heal and he didn't want it to get infected, not to mention that it didn't look very good. In a sense it had been his own fault, but he still had that annoyed anger at the fool who had decided that pronunciation wasn't an aspect of spell casting.

Having eventually managed to shower and change, he'd slid his shoes on and headed out the door. He wouldn't need a jacket, it had been rather warm all day and he wasn't expecting it to exactly cool off once the sun went down. He certainly had mixed feelings about their meeting tonight. On one side, he felt like a total arse. Ron had said it before and he'd probably say it again. Harry was far too easily offended. Harry knew that and most of the people he knew were aware of it...Daphne on the other hand...well, she'd just been thrown into the equation. He'd come to the conclusion that it was George's fault for opening his mouth and he should therefore not be mad at Daphne...of course, this had come about after he'd gone off on her. Then there was the other side of the argument .... well, there really wasn't another side, not unless you counted the fact that he didn't want to have to apologize for being an arse twice in less then a week...but again, that wasn't her fault either.

Eventually reaching Daphne's apartment, climbed the stairs and knocked on the door, waiting patiently outside rather then opening the door on his own. The might have been married, but this was still her apartment.

To be fully honest, Daphne wasn't looking forward to their meeting all that much. She found herself not wanting to get ready or even move off the couch once she made it home from their house. She was still exhausted from Spain, even if she had been gone for a little less than a day, but she also had to deal with some ruddy animal that had its way with all of her garden plants at the home her and Harry were moving into.

Her apartment, though still looking rather chic, was filled with boxes. Most of the things she would put in her family's storage, but she did plan on brining a lot into the new house. She had one of the guys in her department at the ministry go ahead and box things up while she was gone.

Hearing the knock on her door. Daphne groaned and did her best to pull herself off the couch. Again, she really didn't want to go out with Harry. She wast tired and irritable and just all around unpleasant that they had already argued within the first forty-eight hours of their marriage. She knew she shouldn't have brought up Dublin, but she did it out of fun, not out of spite or anger. He should have known that, after all, she told him on their wedding night she didn't care what he did in his past and that hers was ten times worse. Anyone who just disappears to France for a year normally didn't have the best stories to tell.

Pulling her hair back as she reached the door, she clipped it and grabbed her purse off the coat rack without thought. She opened the door and stepped out onto the landing, not wanting to waste any time. Closing the door behind her, she looked at Harry expectantly, waiting for him to leave the way. It was his idea, after all.

Harry had opened his mouth to greet her but it never made it out. The door was opened and closed before he could really process it. He had to blink a moment to catch up. Quite clearly she wasn't looking forward to their meeting either, which strangely enough made him feel even worse. Why he suddenly felt like he was standing in front of McGonagal's desk after being pulled off of Malfoy, he wasn't quite sure, but he didn't particularly like it either.

He sighed and braced himself. "Look, Daphne, I'm sorry...again." He had figured there would be rough patches along the way, but he hadn't really expected them to pop up so soon. Again, he blamed George, the bloody wanker. He was quite good at attempting to get people to move on, but wasn't exactly the type to move on willingly either. As much as Harry loved him, he also wanted to hurt him. "I shouldn't have went off on you about Dublin. It was ages ago and arguing over it is stupid. I have to get over it sometime, it might as well be now."

Yes, he was quite aware he'd basically just called himself stupid, but then again he could either face the facts, or continue in the pointless argument they were in. He'd much rather have it back to what it had been then to keep it as it was.

She listened to his apology and mentally excepted it, though she was in no real mood to let him see her give in. She maybe have been a Potter now, but by blood, she was still a Greengrass and she needed to keep some face. "Whatever, Harry. You can dwell all you want on that night, it doesn't make a difference to me at all. I'm only your wife." And very forgiving at that. She told him to his face she cared not about his past and that she had done worse, but apparently the golden boy didn't feel the same at all.

Her teeth ground together slightly as she lifted her eyes to look at him. Part of her wanted to do something that any wife would do. Hug him, kiss him, ask him how work was, but she was still upset about the previous night. Not that it would stay that way through out the night, but she wasn't about to just forget the way he treated her the night before.

"Can we go now?"

Harry bit the inside of his mouth and resisted the urge to tell her to never mind. The sarcasm not helping the situation at all. There were times when he actually regretted having a conscious. At the moment, this was one of those times. Thankfully, he did have some control over what came out of his mouth and while it took him a moment, he did respond. "After you." he said, stepping out of her way. This was going to be one long night, a perfect conclusion to one hell of a long day.

Moving down the stairs and back out onto the street, he debated on which theatre to go to and how to get there. There was one a couple blocks over, but he didn't really want to walk the entire way in silence, and he knew that's what would happen. Might as well sit in quietly in a movie theatre and attempt to keep his thoughts in check.

"There's a theatre a couple streets over that we can go to," he explained, with a shrug. "Do you know which one, I'm talking about?"

Daphne just looked at him before stepping past him and walking down the stairs that led to her apartment. She felt bad for being so angry and she didn't want to hold a grudge at all, but she just couldn't help it. Once they were outside, she paused and waited for him to lead the way since she had no bloody idea where she was going. She knew this part of London well, but not fantastic. There was quite a difference.

"After you, then," she said coolly, arms folded across her chest. "And no, I don't." She looked at him, waiting for his next move. This bloody sucked. Two days into a marriage and they were already angry at each other.

Alright, this clearly wasn't working out. His temper was bubbling beneath the surface again and he figured hers was still there. If they continued like this they were just going to argue again and this time it was going to be much worse and he didn't think a simple overnight separation was going to work to solve it.

Harry turned, lifting his shoulders before letting them gall again. "Do you want to go or not. I can easily just go home." he responded, not knowing whether to be annoy, angry, sullen, or disappointed. It wasn't exactly the best time of his life and he could certainly think of several things he rather be deciding between.

It sucked that they were arguing so shortly after getting married, but at the moment, she obviously didn't want to work it out, so there really was nothing more he could do. He wasn't getting anywhere at the moment.

And then he spoke. Rolling her eyes, Daphne stopped and turned to him in return. She took his hands in hers and gave him an annoyed, yet sympathetic smile. She felt as if she needed to tell him about France, but these probably weren't the best of moments to tell him.

She sighed and let go of one of his hands to scratch the back of her neck. "I ran off to France when I was fifteen with my brothers and we lived there for a year. We drank a lot. And by a lot, I mean, we could empty entire bottles of anything in less than twenty minutes. One night, he introduced me to this friend of his, he was roughly five years older than me, but I was too drunk to care. He took me into the room he was staying at and we had sex. It wasn't really ... supposed to happen, but it did. After that, that's all we did when we were together. He'd get me as liquored up as possible and then use me as an outlet." Daphne sighed before looking down at the ground. She had never told anyone that before, but Harry needed to hear it.

"Then my brother introduced me to more of his friends. And it was the same thing over and over and over again until I forgot what it was like to not have sex and to not drink. I lost everything that year. The respect of my family, my friends, my boyfriend whom I actually cared for. It's taken me this long to earn all of that back, and if you're all bent out of shape for one night you had a bad experience with, try being me and reliving your past over and over again every time you watch a Quidditch game or have a drink."

She looked at him, her face was red with anger, but also she was embarrassed that someone had to hear that. Daphne hated blurting her personal life out like that, but he had a right to know if he was going to be her husband.

Harry didn't think he could've felt anymore like an idiot just then, but somehow he did. He supposed when one was torn between regret, anger and compassion there was always room for one more. When she looked back up at him, he could tell she was angry, but he didn't care if she didn't want him near her. It was too late for that now.

Using the hand that she still held he pulled her into an embrace, his arms locking around her waist. It was an embrace that she wasn't getting out of until she at least returned it. "I know I'm an idiot, and I'm sorry that you're the one that has to deal with me, but I'm trying, even if you don't think so." he responded, his voice soft but loud enough for her to hear.

"I don't respect you any less because you told me and while I'm not sure if it's a pro or a con for you, you're certainly not going to lose me. I've said it before. I'm not going anywhere, no matter how much you think I'm an idiot." he responded, ignoring the stray individuals who were moving on the street around them. "Though I have to admit that I'm fighting really hard not to go and kill your brother and his friends in the most painful way possible."

Daphne really felt like rubbish for having him hear that. Even members of her family really didn't know about it. Her brothers were only doing what they thought was right for her, she imagined. She always thought she could hang with the big dogs, and that's what it got her into. France, trouble, nothing fabulous, obviously. She still felt dirty from that year even if she had changed her ways almost by 180 degree turn around. Still, it didn't make up for what she had done.

When he pulled her into his embrace, Daphne stood still a minute before resting her head against his shoulder, her arms finding their way around his person. This wasn't so bad, though she still felt like rubbish. "You're not an idiot," she said softly, though as sincere as possible. He hadn't done anything wrong. He wasn't lying, however. She could tell he was trying and she gave him credit for that.

Hearing that she wasn't going to lose him truly made Daphne a little happier. She could easily admit that she was growing more and more attached to him every day they were together and she could see them being a real couple if things went in the right direction. A small laugh was let out when she heard what he said about her brothers and their friends. "They've all paid for it, I'm afraid. And not in a pleasant way."

He figured he should probably release her, but he didn't quite feel like it just yet. What was the harm in staying like that anyway? Daphne certainly wasn't the only one who was feeling a lot more attached and comfortable the more time they spent together. In it's own way, it was sort of frightening. They barely knew each other. Harry found himself caught trying to decided between if it was happening like it was suppose to or if something was pushing them this way. He'd much prefer to think that this was the way it was suppose to work out, so naturally, that' what he was going to do.

After a moment, he turned to brush a light kiss against the curve of her neck before pulling away just enough to meet her eyes, his arms still resting loosely around her waist. "Do you really want to go to this movie, because we don't have to? I don't mind." he asked, knowing that upon starting out they both really hadn't seemed like they wanted to go.

"We could always go back to my place and you can help me pack." he offered, teasing her lightly in order to ease off some of the tension that had fallen on them with sucha serious topic and in all honesty, he really hadn't touched anything in his appartment....which he was sure would lead to some trouble when he actually had to move it all, though knowing him, he'd toss out half of it just so he didn't have to pack it. "I know how heartbroken you'd be if you missed that."

It was good that he didn't let go because she wouldn't have wanted him to. Not then at least, to her, it felt like they needed that moment together. Regardless of what topic they were on, just being with him felt good and she hoped it would only get better in time. Which from what she had heard from her already married family members, it certainly would.

When he kissed her neck, she smiled softly, letting her eyes fall into sync with her own. "I don't care what we do, I just want to be with you right now." And it was true, regardless of how forward it was to him. She didn't care if she had to help him pack or sit through an three hour lecture on Auror training with him, she just wanted to be near him.

A shrug was given at his suggestion, a smirk following it. "That really is a tempting offer," she teased, holding in a small laugh. "Lets just do whatever we feel is right."

Harry smiled, tucking a stray strand of hair behind her ear. It wasn't too difficult for him to decide what he wanted to do. A) hang out in a crowdy movie theatre of B) hang out with her...pretty simple. "I have the perfect idea." he finally responded, it wasn't anything special, but it would suit them just fine. "Hold on tight for a second, alright."

Shifting closer to her again, Harry made sure she was holding on before he apparated outside of his own building. There were wards on his appartment that allowed for him to apparate inside of it, but he wasn't sure how they would be affected by piggybacking another person. He'd rather take the lift then ending up splinching them. After Ron's encounter with splinching in their seventh year, he'd been absolutely terrified of doing it.

Releasing her, with the exception of taking her hand, he laughed. "Don't worry, I'm not going to get you to pack or anything." he smiled, leading the way into the building and toward the lift. "I just figured we could still have the same night, without the uncomfortable seats, sticky floor and other annoying movie goers."

When he told her to hold on tight, Daphne obeyed, taking a grasp of him before he apparated. Part of her really wasn't expecting that and at the same time, she knew she should have. Apparating was always extraordinarily uncomfortable, but it was the quickest and easiest way to travel and she really didn't mind it all the time.

As they arrived at his building, Daphne looked at it. She wondered if she knew which neighborhood they were in, though the surroundings really didn't look so familiar to her. Offering a smile as he took her hand, she walked with him quietly, letting him do the leading.

A laugh was let out and Daphne grinned. "Good because the way I pack sometimes, you'd never see some of your stuff again," she said with a coy smirk. His idea sounded perfect to her and she was finally looking forward to spending some time with him away from the public eye.

She had startled him, but he supposed he couldn't fault her for her reaction. A) she actually cared enough to have such a reaction and B) he hadn't exactly mention the injury to her. He was quite sure had it been the other way around he would have done the same thing.

He returned her smile when she placed her arms around his neck, resting his own hands on her waist. It was strange really, to be so comfortable with her. Thinking back on it, he'd always been a bit awkward when it came to women...well, with the exception of Ginny, but that had had it's own awkward section. She had been his best friends sister. Any thoughts of best friends sisters were completely and successfully cleared from his mind, as they should be, when Daphne kissed him.

"I'd say that you don't owe me anything, but I certainly can't complain about the payment of such debt." he responded, returning her grin. Before he even considered releasing her, he kissed her once more. He was getting quite used to that and was in no rush to refrain from doing so.

Daphne was lucky enough to have a clear mind as they kissed. She had always been one to desire closeness and with the blokes she ended up with, she never had that chance. However, with Harry, she felt as if he were her opportunity to make it happen. She was grinning at him as he kissed her back and spoke. To be honest, she wasn't expecting him to return the kiss. It was still early on in this game called life, but she was comfortable enough with him, hopefully he'd be comfortable enough with her.

"Good, because I had it when people complain," she teased, her lips curling into a smirk as he kissed her once more. This was definitely something she could get used to. She felt like speaking, but the words escaped her every time she decided she was going to pull away. Plus, she didn't want to stop just yet. If they were going to be married, they at least needed a little snog.

He wasn't exactly sure which quality drew him to her, but he certainly wasn't complaining. Whatever it was, it worked and he was glad for that. The last thing he wanted was to be married to someone he didn't connect with. With Daphne, he didn't have to worry about that. He wasn't exactly sure how she felt in regards to the situation, but he hoped she was at least somewhere on the page he was.

As he kissed her, his arms tightened around her waist. It wasn't something intentionally done, but also something he wasn't going to correct. After several long moments, he laughed lightly, pulling away. "You won't hear any complaints from me, but I thought you said you had to go?" he question amused, and lightly kissing her once more.

He certainly wasn't rushing her out of his apartment, but he also didn't want to keep her if she had to go. If she had to get up early, he didn't want to be the reason she had stayed up late and had gotten less sleep then she needed. He knew exactly what happened when one wasn't all there at work and his arm was bandaged to prove it.

Her eyes fluttered closed for a moment, just taking it all in. This was extremely nice to be like this. She hadn't been in a relationship in years and whatever this was, it was something and it was definitely something she wanted. She had completely forgotten all about having to leave until he said something and when he did, she frowned slightly at the thought.

When Harry's arms tightened around Daphne's waist, she looked at him and shrugged. "What do you want me to do?" It didn't matter to her if she got less sleep than she should have. Those kinds of things would eventually happen in a marriage, she figured. Then again, they were still only two days into it and she refused to rush anything and if kissing was one of those things, she'd gladly stop.

That was a good question. What did he want her to do? He hated when the questions were turned back on him, he never knew how to answer them. "If you're asking me then I personally don't see a reason to leave your current spot, but then again I'm don't actually have to get up in the morning. Of course, it wouldn't hurt, mind you, but I'm not actually planning to." he responded with a smile.

He was currently quite enjoying his time with Daphne, but that didn't mean he didn't take her into consideration. It wasn't like he wasn't going to see her again. They'd be moving in together in a short while, after all ... as soon as he managed to get everything organized, which was a task in and of itself.

"The choice is entirely yours Mrs. Greengrass-Potter. You're welcome to stay as long as you'd like." he smiled, making sure to use the title she'd chosen.

"I don't think I'm going anywhere just yet," she said with a grin, kissing him softly again. Her hold on him loosened, though she still stayed close. Yes, they'd be seeing each other again and she had no problems getting up early in the morning, regardless of how late she was up. In fact, she had the slight hint that she'd be sleeping very well tonight, whether it was on Harry's couch or in her own bed. Something just told her her mind would be settled.

"I've made my decision. Don't make me regret it," she joked, brushing some hair out of her eyes. She wouldn't over stay her welcome at all, but Daphne decided to spend just a little more time with him. Plus, since they'd be moving in with each other, this was the kind of time they needed together, not that out on the town shite.

"I wouldn't dream of it." Harry grinned, returning the kiss. It certainly wasn't a response he was going to argue. They would be spending a lot of time together in the near future, so he didn't see the problem with starting in on it a bit early.

He was quite content to remain as they were, at least for a bit longer. There were lots of things that they didn't really know about each other, in his mind he figured being comfortable being close to each other was one less thing they had to deal with.

"While your still here you should tell me what your favourite colour is." he instructed with a smile, leaning his head back against the couch and watching her. "I figure I might need to know that at some point."

Daphne smirked as he returned the kiss and settled back onto the couch. She felt as if they were a couple that were just starting to get serious, or at least just starting to date. Which, as odd as that sounded, it was basically true. They hadn't been together more than a week and they were married. She had always read that marriages that are so sudden don't quite work out, but she had the funny feeling they might work out for the best.

"Favourite color, hm?" She slumped slightly, thinking hard about it. "Probably yellow or green," she gave a shrug. Daphne had never really thought of what her favorite color would be. She grew up in a home where things were always dark, thick, bold colors and while she liked those, she didn't mind the lighter greens and yellows either. "What's your favorite color?"

"Yellow or green, huh?" Harry smiled, thinking on his own favourite colour. It really wasn't that difficult if one took a look at his wardrobe. "As much as I enjoyed being surrounded by red for seven years, I much prefer blue."

He figured the small steps at getting to know each other were probably the best way of going about there current relationship. No matter how comfortable they were becoming together, there were still holes in what they were building.

"Alright, so favourite colour can be checked off the list of things I need to know." He chuckled. "When's your birthday?"

"Blue can be okay," she said with a wry smile. "But only sometimes." Daphne actually wore a lot of blue and a lot of neutral colors. "I rather don't care for green as much as I used to. House colors are over rated," she said with a laugh.

There were a lot of little things about Daphne that Harry would find out eventually. This was a good way to get to said things. "December 21. Yours?" Daphne loved having her birthday close to Christmas like that. Mostly because she was greedy and loved getting double the presents and she always got double the gifts. Even if there were people saying one shouldn't get double the stuff if their birthday was around Christmas.

"I suppose it depends on the shade of green." he offered, with a shrug. He for one hated the particular shade of the Slytherin crest, but didn't mind the softer shades of green. Granted, he couldn't exactly say he his relationship with a many of the Slytherins was that great.

"I've still got lots of time then." he smiled. He didn't know the first thing when it came to buying Christmas or birthday gifts for the opposite sex...there was Hermione, but books weren't exactly what everyone wanted. "You on the other hand, don't have nearly as much time. July 31st. You also don't know how nice it is to have someone not know that little piece of information."

"Slytherin green doesn't look so great on me," she said teasingly, laughing a bit. She didn't mind it all that much, really, but she also looked very washed out in silver and green. Daphne liked wearing colors, that's about it.

July! She really wasn't expecting his birthday to be that soon. "You should expect something big, then." Daphne grinned and looked at him. She liked going all out for gifts when it came down to special people. By the time his birthday rolled around, she figured he'd be pretty special to her. More so than now. "Really? Why?"
