I dare say, the world is far more chaotic than I recall. I wasn't quite sure what to expect, as books and pictures in some of those books coulod never do the world justice. How do you all stand it? It seems so...pointless. And cruel. At least I've a purpose, a reason for living, for wanting to live. I don't understand the appeal, quite honestly, to this day to day existance I have witnessed. It seems barbaric and meaningless.

I do think it's working, darling. I feel stronger, already. I've stopped bumbling men from suicide, I aided two women who were stranded with a flat tire. I won't bore you with the details of my adventures, aside from one. I came to witness a man assaulting a small, helpess infant. Dearest, I feel called to nurture this child, if you should allow it. It is from her that I draw this new found strength. I should like to bring her home and care for her, as if she were my own.
