When a vortex that I did not create transports me to another place, it worries me. I know this isn't my universe, and I've tried conjuring my own vortex, but it won't take me back. I am most displeased with this.

No, you're probably right. I don't get fun much.

Well from what I gather, a vortex did pick all of us up here and put is into this new world. There might be people here you know, lots of people you don't from all different kinds of worlds. Not just mutants, but witches, aliens, werewolves, vampires, they're all here. Um people get around through a portkey, which is something from Harry Potter books that lets you go from one place to another. Everyone is very much out in the open.

Well, you can partially blame Stark for not letting you have a little fun once in a while.

A mystical force has gathered and randomly chooses individuals and transports them here? Interesting. Objects from storybooks are alive and exist? I'm not very surprised by this, I have to say.

I usually do blame him for... everything.

Yep, that's the basics of it. And there's no way to get home. People disappear and reappear all the time and sometimes they don't remember being here before.

Stark's usually....

No, I can't come up with an excuse for him. Not one.

So I've discovered. My own magics won't teleport me back, and I tried everything I know. Well, I suppose I will have to make do here.

You don't have to make up excuses for him, sir. He's usually guilty.

It's not so bad. You should have a ID in your pocket showing you where you live. You might have replaced someone famous. I have.

Very guilty, if only because he decided to speak.

I've located two. A work ID for Kent Hospital, and one for an apartment in Manhattan. Apparently I am on staff at this hospital. I've noticed my hands are much more precise now. I haven't performed surgery in years.

Quite.

Oh, that's yeah in New York. That's where Mr. Stark's wife works. I'm sure you'll be fine, sir. They only accept the best, or so I've heard.

...did you say wife? Is that a typo? Tony Stark isn't married.

Well, I was the finest before my accident. No sense in why I wouldn't be the best again.

Nope, since Mr. Stark's been here he's gotten married. And he has children. His wife is pregnant. And they have a ... well a daughter too. But she's a teenager. Somehow.. people come in from the past and the present around here too. Kids age fast.

I'm sure that's very true.

Married and offspring? Tony Stark is a family man? I shouldn't be laughing so loud at this.

I've entered into a bizarre alternate universe where everything has mirrored into the impossible. The next thing you'll tell me is that you've gotten married and have an army of children who will herald the Second Coming.

Yes and yes. I know right?

Oh goodness no. Me? No way. I only just got here like.. two days ago. It's all very new to me.

A few days, but he's been here only a few months and now he has an entire family in tow. You're very beautiful, and there's no reason why you shouldn't be entitled to the same happiness as him. Even if I think you deserve it more for years of dealing with him.

Oh um.. I.. thank you, sir. That's.. very nice of you to say. I'm.. I don't know really to be honest. I'm just sort of.. here. I'm not working for him anymore. I suppose I get a ... break of sorts.

If you're not working for him anymore, then you're a free woman. You should go out, have some fun. When was the last you actually went out and enjoyed yourself?

I suppose I am. Fun? Oh I don't even know. I'm not even sure I know the word anymore.

Even if you are not as well acquainted with the word any longer, it doesn't mean you've forgotten what brings you joy.

The beauty of my powers is that I can still create a portal for myself and walk through and end up right in your living room. I could take you out and show you a good time.

Are you... asking me out, Dr. Strange?

In a manner of speaking, yes. Something 'fun' and imaginative. I'd like to think we're friends, Miss Potts, and that this universe isn't so different that friends couldn't go out and have a drink or dinner.

Well yeah, I'd like that. Fun and imaginative. That sounds good to me. I warn you though.. I'm.. apparently a celebrity? There might be cameras. But I'd love to.

I was used to limelight well before this. I'm certain paparazzi won't affect me. Where would you like to go? Los Angeles is your domain.

All right then. Um. I think I can find some place to go. I'm not really used to going out around here. I'll ask around. Where should I meet you?
