People are so fake sometimes. Always smiling and saying the nice thing and trying to look like there some great person, even if they don't know you or anything. Like.. All of a sudden you're their best friend or something. You could be a serial killer for all they know, but they're still all smiley and sweet. I just don't trust it. It's like they have some kind of a motive. They're trying to look like a good person, or get you to spill all your secrets or something and I don't trust it. Rayanne isn't perfect or anything, but she's real. She's honest, and she is who she says she is.

It's so weird, having Rayanne around again. When she told me about the party, I half expected her to tell me that Jordan Catalano was going to be there. School is more tolerable, at least.

Hey, Rube? It's cool if I go out with Rayanne this weekend, right?

There's this other thing.. Y'know Rayanne? Um. She. Back before I got here, she.. Well. She had a lot of problems, like drinking and drugs and stuff and I don't know if she was messed up that night or what, and I don't know if that matters, but she.. She slept with Jordan Catalano. Who was sort of my.. Well. We weren't really dating at the time, but Rayanne knew how I felt and. I don't know if she even remembers doing that. But sometimes I.. I just don't know what to think.

No.. I guess I've been kinda afraid. I think.. I just have been so lonely. I really really wanted her to be from before. From when we could just have fun and not worry about things. I just. I wanted to think that she hadn't done it, and since she couldn't do it here, I could be okay with that and things would be back to normal. Does that make me really fake, too? That I haven't talked to her?
