I think Nuriko might be gone. As in, it's not that I can't find him, it's that he's not anywhere to be found.

I don't know what to do.

Well, if you ever want to test, I don't mind. Like I said, can't be any worse than darkspawn. Possibly best to try it with those of us who've arrived from other places, though. Anyone who's come through the vortex has had to learn to be a bit more open-minded just because of the experience, I think.

Also, if it's any help to you, I'm, ah, a shapeshifter. That was considered pretty horrific where I come from, so I didn't exactly advertise the fact.

Mm, there's more of us here than I would have expected, which is a pleasure to me. I only met one other in my whole life, back home. At any rate, it means you can believe me when I say that I know better than most how little a person's outward appearance has to do with who they really are. We're a lot more than what we look like. I'm myself whether I'm shaped like this or like a rat.

	That's truly an enlightened way of looking at things. You may be the very first person to have convinced me that, maybe, removing my mask might not spell doom and condemnation for myself and for others around me. 	I don't know about enlightened, it's just what I know from my own experiences. If more people had had those experiences, maybe more people would have that opinion. For the longest time, I lived beneath the opera house in Paris, emerging only to teach my angel. After she left me, things started to go terribly wrong, culminating in an angry lynch mob chasing me out of the only home I'd known for years.

If it hadn't been for the ballet mistress and her daughter, I would've likely been killed... either that or thrown back to the freak shows, the mysterious Phantom, caught and caged for all to see.
