Yes, I've found that eyes are some of human's favorite body parts. They don't like it when they're suddenly gone.

I've spent countless years of being seen as a blind, clawed monster, only to finally be able to see, to taste, to experience life as the creatures which I look after. I am beginning to understand humanity in a way my kind was not allowed.
