I've been currently fascinated with the new perspective this reality has given me.  It has given me back some of that wonderment that I believe I lost somewhere between childhood and adulthood.  To know that this world has the unbelievable, the fantastic, the outright science fictional things that I've always enjoyed dreaming about probably has something to do with it.  While it may be rich in the extraordinary, it still has mundane, little things that I can't help but love, as well.
Johan Wolfgang Goethe said, "A man sees in the world what he carĀries in his heart."  I wonder if it's not because of this perspective, that I enjoy this world so much.  I came here expecting the fantastic, and that's what it has been for me.  That being said...

Garcia, I bought Trivial Pursuit, and I cleaned my house.  Would you like to come over and play?  I invited Cassidy and Dib along as well.

So do you, though, so we're off to a good start, already.

Not all of them, just the ones that are interesting.

Everything is interesting, if you look at it from the right angle.

Did you get that from Mr. Rogers? And no, Reid, there's really no way to make schematics of highways interesting.

Captain Kangaroo, actually. And I think they're interesting! It takes a committee of people to design a system of roads that's both practical and efficient for your everyday motorist to get to and from major cities, and yet they still manage to have gridlock traffic in most of them. I have designed a more efficient road design for places, but I doubt they'd ever be implemented because it takes years to go through the red tape, and after that, it takes millions of dollars to redo road systems.

... And I wrote about three paragraphs more on the subject before I realized that was boring and I deleted them.

... you watched Captain Kangaroo? Wasn't he a little before your time?

They had tapes.

I can't imagine you ever being tiny enough to be entertained by those. Screw baby Einstein, you popped out of the room reading Tolstoy.

This was the height of entertainment when I was four. I didn't always have my nose in a book.

It means 'oh wow' or 'oh my gosh' or the like.

... did you just ask out a girl? A pretty one?

And yeah, I think I did.

We are so having a Trivial Pursuit party to celebrate. You know, since we were having one anyway.

Well, it's not a party-worthy event for me to be asking anyone out, but since we were having one anyway, sure, why not?
