... I'm sure I'm not the only one to mourn this, but my FFXI toons didn't follow me. I have to start over. I think I'm going to cry.

Or see if I can hack a DM account. But that feels a little like cheating.

Short for cartoons. MMORPG slang for characters. Or, to put it another way, 200 plus hours of game time. Lost. Mama's a little upset.

How're you doing, Reid? Happy I got you your job back?

You spent 200 hours playing FFXI? Garcia? I hate to break it to you, but I think you might need a better hobby.

It's a little different, working for MI5, totally different team, but I'll adapt. That's um. That's a yes, by the way. I'm glad you're part of my team, moreso.

Please, I was at work for at least a hundred of those.

I'm glad you're here too, Reid. I wonder if the others will show up? I'm sure you miss JJ.

I don't really miss her. I did wonder what she and the rest of the team were doing without us, if they were looking for us...

Oh. I get it. You miss Morgan.

Well, obviously, but I worry about you too.

I'm doing oddly fine, despite being thrust into an entirely different reality without any anchor point of my past life, except for you, and although you're definitely somebody I know, and it's comforting to have you on a small level, we never really "hung out", so it's a little disarming and disorienting.

The up side to this is that I hear that Geoff Chaucer was actually here at some point, and I figure if he's still around, I could track him down and pick his mind about certain things. I really do find all his works fascinating and I don't doubt he's just as incredible.

There's Jedi here, and you pick Chaucer to fanboy over?

Jedi didn't write some of the most compelling, world-altering poetry ever penned in history!

Says you, there's really no way to know that. Maybe they were warrior-poets in their own reality!

Wouldn't you believe, as soon as I posted that, I figured that would be your rebuttal. I agree with you, though, there might be poets from their galaxy far, far away.

When we've both got some time, would you like to come to a movie with me? I have a feeling we've got similar tastes in that.

You magicians, and your divining the future. :P

Of course, I was going to say that we should rectify that whole not hanging out a lot thing.

We're spooky in that way.

Excellent, as soon as our current case is wrapped up, we'll go to a movie.

You know what's fun? Bibliomancy and bad romance novels.

Or we could just rent the original three and watch those?

That sounds great, actually. My place isn't exactly... user-friendly, right now. I apparently replaced one of those eccentrics who thinks that clutter shows how much intelligence you have, and he considered himself incredibly intelligent.

My place is eerily tidy, and I have a mindblowing soundsystem. Taunton growling will blow your hair back, I swear. We can do it at my place, and if you want to invite anyone else, we can make an event of it!

Well, I do know a couple of people. All right, that sounds perfect. I'll make a note of it in my schedule.
