There's a movie and some books where I have a daughter.

It's weird and vaguely disturbing.

Why? I always thought you'd make a very good mother.

Well better than Ares, sure but.. come on, I just like to beat stuff up. And I'm .. sort of a virgin. It just doesn't make sense.

Did Ares write them? Well, ghost write them? Well, ok ghost DRAW them with stick figures sporting baby bumps?

Oh god I hope not, or I'm going to kill him. I don't think he's smart enough to write anything. Not even stick figures.

Perhaps he communicated with the writer in grunts and pokes? "You! Write book thing! Make sister have baby!"

I'm sure your daughters would be lovely and strong, like their mother.

Well thank you very much. I should hope so. Maybe if I had them by myself

You could make them from the very earth, to be as strong as stone. However, no thing, living even from the breath and breast of you would not be as strong or cunning as its creator. It would be a wasted effort unless you were to birth them.

And frankly, you don't seem like the birthing type.

That's very true. I don't think I am either. And I definitely wouldn't make them out of the earth. Though I thank you for the compliment anyway. I hope the me in the story didn't birth them, I can't really imagine it. I've heard it's disgusting.

Having seen the birth of many of my children, I can attest to that. You would do well with the pain, but there's little more to it that I doubt you'd tolerate.

As for having fiction written about you, unflattering as it may be? I would consider it to be good fortune. After all, how often is it these days that any of us have tribute paid to us?

I can deal with pain, I just have never seen the point. Those sorts of things only make you weak. Makes you more human, things to care for.

Suppose so, guess I shouldn't complain too much. But I will anyway, because they're clearly idiots.

Complaining is better than having their fortunes fall around them in an appropriate way. Arachnae comes to mind when I hear tales of your displeasure.

When the tales of your punishments reaches the Northern Shores and over the rainbow bridge into Asgard, I certainly was impressed. Usually I just strike my annoyances down with lightning. You're creative.

I try to be. I mean, I don't want to be like Ares, just knocking heads together. Besides, I was made to be smart and creative with my enemies.

He's more personal than I like to get with midlanders.

I'm still rather astounded that you're a virgin even now. No man or woman has captured your heart, which is noble, but... odd.

We liked to put him in the Special room on Olympus.

Well to be honest there.. was someone. Here. But.. he just disappeared like people tend to do. I suppose that's for the best, though I don't see why it's so odd.

We keep Loki in a room like that. Sometimes Hugin visits him.

That's unfortunate. It is hard to lose the one you love. It's only odd under the circumstances that we're all ancient. One would think you've known the pleasure of a man's touch even once.

Maybe we should put them together. See what happens.

After a while you get so used to it that it doesn't really matter much. And any time I've actually wanted to, things have happened that made it impossible. So there you go.

I wouldn't, I respect Midgard too much to let it be pulverized by a couple of thickheaded morons.

That makes sense. After all, you are a fighter, not a lover.

[info]ex_warriorgo846
2010-02-22 03:37 am UTC (link)
Well we could put them somewhere else. Far away from people we care about. Or don't care about or something.

Suppose so. I've just never been.. the type. I don't know. I thought once.. but, well like I said. That time has passed.

You shouldn't. Love lost does not mean all hope is, too. I lost wives, but that doesn't mean I won't look for another when the time is appropriate.

I guess so, I just.. I've never felt that way about anyone. I wouldn't know what to look for or how it feels or anything. I mean the guy was nice but.. he was very much mortal and I just like being with him.

[info]imakeitgoboom

That was a good start, being able to be around him and enjoy yourself. Mortals are too fleeting, though. Love will be easy to see once it's made itself present. You are the sister to an embodiment of romance. Perhaps she could tell you.

She's married to Ares, I'm not sure I could ever trust her judgment. But maybe. I still don't know. I mean it's probably not even worth it.

Nah, he really doesn't.

Well I guess maybe for some people it is. But I'm an instrument of war. I'd only crush and kill it.

You say you're an instrument of war as if that is a bad thing to be. I am War, both the tactical and the bloodthirsty. But I am more than that, as all beings are more than their purpose. You would not destroy something you love.

No, it's not a bad thing to be. I like being what I am, all of what I am. I am nothing more, and nothing less. Even if I am stuck in this place. I think I would.

You wouldn't. But if you wish to believe it, I am in no position to argue otherwise.

But I am, however, in the position to throw bolts at anyone who dares to try and prove you wrong. More because I'm bored and Mjolnir is gathering dust than anything.

Yes, but she likes that sort of thing. And uses it to her advantage. I'm just not like that.

Besides, every time I get close to someone, they just disappear. That's what makes it not worth it.

In that case, I understand your apprehension.

You wouldn't be opposed to a personal meeting, would you? It would seem as if you are in the need of some company.

I'll bring wine. South Mountainers still drink wine, right?
