I am sorry to trouble you, my friend, but I am in need of some small assistance.

I have asked a lady to dine with me, and she has agreed, but I am uncertain of any kind of ritual or social more I might need to know about the ladies of this time. I am not such a fool as to think that everything has stayed exactly the same between my own time and here.

I would be grateful for any advice.

	That is the important thing. In my time, marriages were almost entirely for wealth or position, but my parents' was a love match. I rather took after the example. And I thank you, but I rather think that will be the lady's decision! Ha. (Reply to this) (Parent) (Thread)

	My mother followed my father to the city after falling in love with him. There he died of a filthy disease, and my mother became a prostitute to cover his debts. I killed her when I was born.
