I am sorry to trouble you, my friend, but I am in need of some small assistance.

I have asked a lady to dine with me, and she has agreed, but I am uncertain of any kind of ritual or social more I might need to know about the ladies of this time. I am not such a fool as to think that everything has stayed exactly the same between my own time and here.

I would be grateful for any advice.

	I remember that women require flattery, but one must provide it carefully. One should ask their male relations if one may take them out.
