That and it'd be more cozy for her in the back there. She already sweats like mad, don't need her feet to be sore on top of it. And from what I've gathered? She really likes the color green.

I brown bag it when I have to go up there to work. Dunno how the natives managed to live for 1500 years on mush and meat.

Green et cushy, just need to pick between de ol lady feathers or rhinestones for the top.

Lookin' at de big heads et bad teeth, I'd say not very well.

Knowin' her? Both wouldn't be a bad bet.

Serious. Then again, my forebears were Irish, can't say much for their vittles, either. The booze, however? Top notch.

So other than your lawyerin' and usual philandering ways, what's been keepin' you busy?

Hm. Good point.

Got to have something to wash de taste away with. Mebbe it's all de rain. Makes you want to pickle your brain as fast as possible.

Surprisingly more of the first than anything else. I could probably charm a jury into acquitting Freddy Krueger, et sometimes, the ol' skills are useful in this job.

How's juggling the work, business et baby out there?

Yeah, I bet you make a good defense. And what's this? No romantic interests? What is this, the twilight zone? Have you gone off your game, sparky?

Fuckin' a, man. Henry's doin' good in school, the Jobs are doin' pretty good, since Petit won't save me any of the good ones, only the ones where she KNOWS shit's cursed. And the shops are pretty well off, gettin' more business this year than last. On top of that? My little sister showed up. Dunno if I told you about her. Probably not.

She's a little shy around guys. Good reason for it, too. But she's opening up to our resident elf, and me, so it ain't all so bad. I think she just needs more positive reinforcement, y'know. Meet good guys who won't hurt her.

Sparky, huh? I'll have you know, pup, I still enjoy the lovelier things from time to time. Just haven't found one recurring yet.

Sounds like Petit through et through, probably claims it's to keep you on your toes. Wouldn't be surprised if she practices a Puppetmaster laugh when she'd alone.

Didn't hear about her, is the good reason still alive? I think, with your family around, she'll probably learn a few tricks on taking care of herself pretty soon.

Still worries me that the epitome of southern charm might have fallen off the ride.

You give her too much credit - she doesn't wait until she's alone to laugh her laugh of wickedness.

If he is, he's not here, and if he's here, he won't be for long. She probably doesn't know it, but she's made some pretty dangerous friends. Dangerous for anyone who hurts her, that is. And I'm making sure she does. Henn's teaching her some stuff, Zev's teaching her others. It's times like this that the old saying "It's more than a Guild," comes to mind.

PFT. Firmly in the seat, just not 'seducing everything within earshot' as it's been said.

Which makes you wonder then what does she concoct up when she is alone.

Damn straight. We know the hiding places no one would think to look for and how to make the best forgeries of anything.

If that creep does show up, I think I'm going to point a rather handsome elf his way. I don't know what the guy looks like, but I'm sure Michelle'll tell us.

You gunna be around for the monthly dinner? That'll be end of the month, as usual.

Bontemps.

Definitely. I'll bring a few bottles of something ridiculously French too.

Good stuff. I'll make sure the cook for the occasion makes sure to make enough.
