Dove sono - where am I?

Why do I know English? I have never even met an Englisher. And this is not my home.

It seems I have been subdued and held. And induced to write with this ... thing ... instead of proper ink and quill. Leonardo, is this your doing? If so, you had no need to kidnap me!

Address is usually a good place to start. Probably be able to get a better idea of occupation once you're there. Some people replace someone not so much different from themselves, some people replace someone at the opposite end of the spectrum.

I imagine whatever work I am pushed into here will not be nearly as interesting as what I did at home. ... I should find a bibliotecca.

You never know. And it couldn't hurt, how well do you know the city? I can recommend a guide, if you need one.

I thank you, but I have a gift for direction. I will manage.

Well if you ever need help, contact Meggie Folchart, formerly of the London Library, freelance now.
