I just read an article about a record breaking sale of Canterbury Tales at auction. My book, which I have not yet written, sold for $7.5 million, some ten years ago. Just three months ago, a 4 volume set printed around 1930 sold for nearly $10,000.

This is unfathomable to me, and I do not know what to think. Perhaps I ought to read this work before I have written it, after all. Or instead, perhaps I will have a drink.
