Apocalypse was here? How did I miss this? I can't believe that I could have been this blind.

Unless I've been out of commission and no one has told me? Something's wrong.

I think that we both should spend more time out of the lab and in the world... especially when vortexes come around.

Did you do that?

What?! No! I would never create a vortex for no rea--okay that's a lie, but I didn't do it, I swear!

Relax. I believe you. Where are you, anyway? I ended up at some photoshoot in downtown Manhattan.

Thank you. A computer lab filled with Macs. I think it's a testing facility of some kind. I haven't really explored it yet.

Huhn.

Strange.

Find out if you can find an address. I am on an Wireless PDA and outside now.

And already I know this is definitely not our world.

Oh, I'm at [address]. They're already looking at me strangely, so it's best I leave and locate you. I've got my PDA, so I can keep track of things.

How do you know for certain?

Let's meet at the sight of the Baxter Building.

Several addresses which contained properties or people we know are things completely different.

Too many for it to be a coincidence.

Already on my way. Shouldn't been too far from it.

So this vortex you mentioned? It transported us to an alternate dimension?

I will see you there.

It would seem so, by all the evidence.

And you are okay?

Alternate dimension? Excellent! I wonder what I can find out about this place with some research.

Oh never better, dear. I'm not feeling any strange aftereffects of teleportation or any kind of sickness.

Dinner first, then research, Reed.

Good.

But I...there's research to be done.

I suppose you're right.

And you know what happens when you don't get food.

Besides, we need to actually get a lab, first.

I would have liked to have seen him, maybe scraped some kind of samples of DNA or something from him to study at the lab.

Richards, I respect your genius, but sometimes things are better off unknown. Who knows what would've happened if you'd gotten DNA? This guy had regeneration capabilities that I've never even seen before.

But that's the point! He had regeneration properties that could be used for something great maybe in medical studies for those who need organ transplants or something just as wonderful.

I understand how his abilities could be helpful if their secrets were unlocked. But stop and consider for a second the dangers of something like that. I studied up on this guy before fighting him, and he has complete control over his entire body. This might even mean he can control every piece, down to the genetic level.

Not to mention the fact that if his regenerative abilities fell into the wrong hands, we'd all have unstoppable villains to deal with.

True, but I wouldn't leave the things lying around. A derivative of the DNA could be used for research and full study. I highly doubt he can maintain control over cells of his body after they've been severed from his form. That's just ludicrous.

You didn't see this guy.

Look, Richards, think about it like this. I'm sure a certain friend of ours thought he'd be doing some good with his experiments.

Now he's the Hulk. See my point? I'll be the first to admit I can be a little afraid of progress, but that's not what this is. This is a healthy respect for the fact that just because something can be poked and prodded, doesn't mean it should be poked and prodded.

I hadn't heard of him before he popped up and started killing folk. I hit him in the butt. Not my finest moment.

I've researched him recently, but I'd only heard of him. A prime chance to study him and I miss it. I'm very disappointed.

There's no need to say things like that, Parker. It's difficult to convey a glare over this thing.

Not now. Actually, at the moment everything is peachy. I don't hold out a lot of hope for it staying that way though.

In some ways, this place is even stranger than home.
