I woke up to find my entire bedroom on fire...

If only that could happen to us all more often.

Badda-bing.

I'd rather wake up to a different kind of fire myself.

That's happened to me before. Bad dream?

I think so? But... I do not know what that would happen. Or why I suddenly had flames form around my hand but did not burn me.

Ohh... in that case, it is a bit strange. And the fire doesn't burn? Consider yourself lucky.

I take it you've experienced something different?

I am Edward, by the way.

I'm Delia.

I've been setting things on fire in my sleep since puberty, though it's getting better. But I have the scares to prove it.

This is something you experience all the time and are harmed by it? I can not begin to imagine...

To be fair, I rarely set myself on fire. Just other things, mostly when I'm startled or experiencing high emotion?

I'd say you get used to it, but you don't. Or I didn't.

That... makes sense. The flames in my room got worse due to my own emotions about them BEING there. And the dream I was having was... rather intense...

I don't know how someone could get used to it... especially if they were injured by the flames they create.

I don't know... Back home I was a freak. Here, people seem to be able to do all sorts of random stuff straight out of comic books, and take it in stride?

My advice is practice relaxation techniques. It kinda works.

I wouldn't call you a freak.

What's a comic book?

I'll do that, thank you.

Then you are much kinder than anyone I ever went to school with. :)

What's a comic book? Really? It's a book where the story is told in pictures - a lot of them are about superheroes or mutants with special powers.

[OOC: Sorry. I do that all the time.]

Are you alright?

One of my students exhibited that same ability.

It seems that God truly has a sense of humor, a week after the actions from these 'purifiers' and now it seems that all mortals are showing such 'powers'.

I am. Oddly, I was not harmed. I apparently can walk through the flames, hold them, attract them with nary a burn or singe.

Are you all right, sister?

Interesting, but I must ask. Were you the cause of the fire or was it caused by something else?

I'm alright. I've been given the ability to stop things in mid motion, by merely commanding them.

I... think I was the cause of it?

Well that sounds as if it could prove to be interesting.

But you could control it atleast. The young student of mine could only create fire from her hands, it was lucky it was only a small flame and nothing was damaged.

It is, I could even make people stop-a very useful skill when trying to get through lectures when the room is in chaos.

I don't know if control is entirely appropriate. I can contain it in smaller versions. My bedroom? A bit large. But also unexpected.

Yes that is a useful skill for a teacher.

I would very much think so.

If it were not for the scare of witchcraft, I would've found it just as useful in my court. Maybe then my courtiers would actually listen to what I was saying instead of the other way around.

Do you need to come see your father? Spend some time with him, perhaps?
