So, Tobias.

Where would you like your mountain retreat?

EDIT: Cooper! How goes the gaming group idea? I have this large bag of dice here aching to be rolled.

You just keep losing the word lottery against my brother and cousin, hm?

I have no clue what happened to my grasp of the language. I'm usually so good at not making innuendos at people I barely know!

It's their influence, I'm sure. We Harkness and Torchwood kids do know how to find innuendos in every sentence.

To be fair, the one that started this whole thing was painfully obvious. I don't know how I missed that one.

Oh well. This is very true, I admit that, but the rest? Yeah.

Well, the pen and paper one might have been me playing along for the comedic value. The other one was still totally unintentional.

You learn quick, then. But yes, the first I can see was. As was the second. Though you are pretty cute when all flustered and tongue tied.

I'm being a touch rude. I'm Hope Smith-Harkness.

Well, at least I still have that. And honestly, I don't regret any of this. It was absolutely hilarious.

Nice to meet you. I'm Marco Hernandez.

Haha, seriously? This is definitely a new thing for me.

I've been here for a couple weeks, actually. Haven't really done much other than get adjusted. And fight a guy from a video game.

Never a dull moment around us, that's for sure.

Fighting a guy from a video game? You know, statements like that shouldn't surprise me in this world considering I was here almost 10 months ago as a 12 year old.

Yeah, I know what that's like.

Ten months ago as a twelve year old? I think the fact that I'm not scratching my head means I'm adjusting pretty well.

The fight had to do with the whole time thing from last week. The guy is usually pretty cool, apparently, but went evil last week. So, y'know, I woke up last Saturday with no memory of the week before and a bunch of weaponry I didn't have before, and I figured the obvious course of action was to lend a hand.

Yeah, you are adjusting well. Was here with my sister and brother, who I am triplets with. They didn't arrive in this time as adults though.

Good thought. At least you were able to help. My one sister hasn't been the same since getting fucked around last week by being her older self and keeping her memories. This world is certainly a pain in the ass sometimes.

I have a couple friends here. I don't know if I'd be adjusting as well if they weren't.

Keeping the memories? Damn, I can't even imagine what that would be like. I don't want to know my future, it takes all the fun out of it.

That does help. I'm glad my family is here for me.

Neither would I. A part of me hopes she can change certain parts of her future, but we'll see. Right now she's not handling it well at all.

A lot of people underestimate the value of moral support. Something that my friends would find hilarious to hear me say.

I live by the words of James Cameron. There's no fate but what we make. That said, I can totally understand not handling the memories very well. That's a lot of crap to take in, even if it was a good future.
