WHO: Ginny Weasley and Harry Potter WHAT: Following their slight argument in the journals Ginny finds she can't sleep for worrying over Harry, and so she pays him a visit. WHEN: September 2, 2002; 1am WHERE: Harry and Ron's flat, Bath, England RATING: TBA STATUS: Incomplete
She had tossed and turned for nearly four hours by the time she had decided to simply give it up. It wasn't the first argument she had gotten into with Harry in their years of dating and it certainly wouldn't be there last. Unlike Ron and Hermione they didn't genuinely fight all that often, and it was even less often that their fights were the explosive sort. Instead they tended to have small arguments that had them both keeping their distance for a while.
But this one....it seemed different. She was worried that she had genuinely hurt Harry, and he simply hadn't let on in his need to protect himself at all times. That was the reason she couldn't sleep, aside from the obvious dilemma where she just honestly missed seeing him.
With a small sigh of defeat Ginny crawled out of her warm bed, reaching for a cloak in her closet before jamming her feet into her scuffed trainers. Closing her hand around her wand she concentrated, apparating from her own flat in London to Harry and Ron's shared flat in Bath. It was a bit pathetic to admit that this wasn't the first (nor would it be the last) late night visit she had paid to the apartment for various reasons but it was that fact that allowed her to navigate both the protective wards, the muggle locks, and the creaky fifth stair to get to Harry's room.
Likewise she didn't knock, sure that Harry was either still awake studying or wouldn't be remotely surprised to find her crawling into bed with him - since it was a common occurrence after a fight between them. But she did keep her wand drawn as she unlocked the door with it and entered the room. You could never be too sure that he wouldn't forget his surroundings if he was asleep and attack. It hadn't happened yet, but there was a first time for everything.
