Subject: An outing.
Who: Delia Slater.
Where: Ranelagh Gardens, Chelsea.
Warnings: None yet, but one never knows with Delia.
Open to: All.

The ginger slag had managed to drive her out of the house. Not that the woman did anything to her, and Delia was not giving in or giving her father her blessing, it was all about the way her father and his whore carried on. Her father had been laying low with his new look, Delia assumed it was to fully plot what he would do to Harry, but that laying low meant staying to the house and staying to the house meant staying close to Viv. It was disgusting. She apparently liked his new looks so much that every time they saw each other she made eyes at him, it was getting to a point where Delia was afraid to enter rooms without knocking and announcing herself. She had to get away from the 'love-birds' and the terrible mental images that popped up when the two looked at each other in that special way. The only escape that appealed to her was an outing, it would be nice to go out and not have to concern herself with anything other than her own happiness.

She had intended on going out alone, but with her father's concern for Harry Fisher popping up and grabbing her (that idea made her chuckle every time she thought of it because since meeting the man she could honestly say he was not remotely bogeyman-like) and one of her father's boy's eagerness to see his girl who worked over at Ranelagh, she took him with her. It silenced her father's concerns and it made it easier for her to go about unnoticed, a young woman on her own was scandal, but put a man beside her and she would be virtually ignored. Aside from that, he was a nice enough fellow, and smarter than most as he gave Delia a wide berth and only spoke when spoken to, The story of her cracking the skull of one of her father's boys had obviously gotten around. She was pleased with his silence and respect, it the journey to the pleasure gardens was a relatively uneventful one. But one of the chief forms of fun for Delia when going to Ranelagh, was the thrill of getting in for free. In her younger years, not so very long ago as twenty years is not a very long time to have been alive, she used to leg it over one of the walls, or go through a servant's entrance, but these days it was much simpler. All she had to do was smile at the man at the gate and he let her right in. Being the daughter of Irving Slater was once again paying off.

As soon as they entered Delia and her so-called 'protector' split up. He went off to find his girl, most likely for a shag, as long as he was finished and ready to go once it was time to go she didn't care what he did and with who, while she went of to mingle, flirt, perhaps steal something shiny and expensive if someone was foolish enough to have it within easy reach of her. It was a lovely day and members of all classes seemed to be out, most heading for the band playing in the rotunda. She herself was far more inclined to stroll through the gardens, stopping occasionally to make chit-chat with a blue-blood while she took his watch or made suggestions that he ought to look her up once away from the gardens. But unfortunately, nothing seemed to completely take he mind off her father and his woman, it managed to suck all the enjoyment out of the day. She found herself in the Chinese house on the canal, leaning against the railing and brilliant blue eyes looking down at the water while she thought of ways to remove Viv from the house and from her head.

Nothing seemed to work, however, and there was seemingly nothing that could make her feel better in that moment, save the older woman getting struck by lightning.

"Let them disagree. They do not know better to admit when they are defeated," he said passively, still watching the women walking around who were eyeing the two of them with curiosity. "I do not court women. I have never done so and believe I never will."

As the women caught word of this and scurried along with their noses in the air, Ramez turned to face Cordelia with a curious look of his own. "You expect me to believe that your attire reflects your true self? If that is so then you take me for more of a fool than I thought you did..."
