Fabian had been listless since the party. It had been the fist time he’d been out around people, and some of them is own age, since he could remember and it hadn’t affected him badly – at least not physically.
He was however bored now with the idea of staying home constantly with no visitors or outside entertainments. If he had been well enough to stay out until ten at night with no averse affects, to drink and enjoy the music and conversation (but not to dance, he wouldn’t risk that) then he was well enough to try some other new things, wasn’t he?
His thoughts had turned more and more to the possibility of taking a trip to the seaside. It would be the autumn soon and he knew his uncle would never allow him out when there was such a prospect of colds and other ghastly infections, so if he was to convince him it would need to be soon.
There was a knock on the door and Fabian looked up.
“Who is it?” He called.
